CLASS DESCRIPTION<br />
STUDIO ETIQUETTE<br />
PILATES B.A (Body Awareness)<br />
This class, based on the principles of<br />
Pilates goes one step deeper. By using<br />
total awareness of the movements being<br />
performed, neutral spine and core muscle<br />
engagement a deeper understanding of the<br />
practice will develop, ideal for beginners to<br />
advance practitioners.<br />
PRANAYAMA YOGA<br />
Pranayama is the study and control of<br />
breath. Meditation is a form of deep<br />
concentration. Both these practices have<br />
been proven to produce a very positive<br />
effect on the mind and the body. Although<br />
these sessions are about the subtle control<br />
of the breath there will be a small amount<br />
of very gentle physical practice to help open<br />
the ribs and encourage deeper breathing.<br />
PUMP FX<br />
Working with weights and music to<br />
strengthen and lengthen the major muscle<br />
groups.<br />
PURE PILATES<br />
Pure Pilates a strong physical practice<br />
following the original sequence of Pilates.<br />
Although beginners are welcome this<br />
class is best suited for those who have<br />
an understanding of the Pilates system.<br />
Great for toning and developing a longer<br />
lean body.<br />
SCULPT & CORE<br />
Focusing on resistance training and<br />
targeting compound muscles. Sculpt & Core<br />
will not only work your body effectively but<br />
shall change the shape and increase your<br />
metabolism levels along with a strong focus<br />
on Hard Core hitting exercises.<br />
STEP AEROBICS<br />
Step up the action working to great music<br />
and beats. A great cardio class to keep your<br />
heart, memory and coordination active.<br />
STRETCH & FLEX<br />
A great way to give something back to<br />
your body after all the hard work it has<br />
done for you. Stretch & Flex will allow you<br />
to lengthen, strengthen & open up your<br />
muscles allowing free movement around the<br />
whole body.<br />
SWISS BALL CONDITIONING<br />
Designed to engage deep core muscles<br />
you never knew existed, Swiss ball will<br />
challenge your balance, co-ordination and<br />
core strength. Working from a wide range of<br />
exercises using dumbbells and bodyweight<br />
to the most effective abdominal exercises.<br />
TABLE TENNIS<br />
Join in with Members of all abilities and<br />
ages in one of the most versatile and<br />
entertaining sports around.<br />
TENNIS KNOCKABOUT<br />
This instructor led session is a great way to<br />
get outdoors and have a friendly knockabout<br />
with fellow members. Regardless of your<br />
skill and ability it’s all about having fun and<br />
enjoying yourself.<br />
T’AI CHI QI GONG<br />
T’ai Chi Qi Gong benefits the body<br />
and mind by helping to reduce stress.<br />
Improving strength, flexibility, mental and<br />
physical balance as well as the energy<br />
flow and general health. The gentle flowing<br />
movements are taught at a pace to suit<br />
all levels.<br />
TIGHT ASSETS<br />
A fun and challenging total body toning<br />
session, using weights, bars and bands to<br />
chisel that perfect physique.<br />
TIGHT THIGHS & TUMS<br />
Using a great combination of resistance<br />
and cardio exercises this class does<br />
exactly what it says on the tin. This class<br />
is suitable for all abilities and will tighten<br />
all those troublesome areas. With great<br />
music, effective exercises and motivational<br />
instructors, we’ll show you that exercising<br />
and getting results can be fun!<br />
VINYASA POWER YOGA<br />
Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will<br />
move you through the power of inhaling and<br />
exhaling. Vinyasa movements are smoothly<br />
flowing and almost dance-like.<br />
X-FIT<br />
X-Fit Training will sculpt your body in<br />
areas you never knew possible! Using the<br />
latest tools and fitness equipment X-Fit<br />
guarantees to give you a full body workout<br />
with impressive results. You’ll be leaving<br />
with nothing, but still wanting more!<br />
YIN YOGA<br />
A lighter form of Yoga practice designed<br />
to work deep within the connective<br />
tissue, lengthening muscles and releasing<br />
unwanted stress. Poses will be held for<br />
longer periods to encourage focus, patience<br />
and tension release.<br />
ZUMBA<br />
A fusion of latin and international music<br />
dance themes that creates a dynamic,<br />
exciting and effective fitness work out. The<br />
routines feature aerobic/fitness interval<br />
training with a combination of fast and slow<br />
rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.<br />
All members must book onto classes.<br />
If you do not book on the class entry may be refused.<br />
Please consult a doctor before participating in any activity if you<br />
are unsure of the suitability of the class or if you suffer<br />
from a medical complaint.<br />
Please inform the instructor of any condition that may affect your<br />
ability to exercise before the class commences.<br />
Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn and please<br />
bring a sweat towel with you at all times.<br />
Please arrive in plenty of time before the class begins, entry<br />
to the class may be refused if the warm up has commenced.<br />
Mobile phones must be switched off whilst in the studios and gym area.<br />
Minimum age for class participation is 16 years of age.<br />
All members are asked to act in a courteous manner<br />
to instructors during the class. The instructors are available<br />
for feedback and discussion at the end of the class.<br />
The Health Club reserves the right to change<br />
and cancel classes at our discretion.<br />
If unable to attend a class, the club requires twelve hours notice to<br />
ensure the space can be reallocated. Failure to provide sufficient<br />
notice may result in restrictions being added to future bookings.<br />

ASHTANGA YOGA<br />
Ashtanga Vinyasa based practice, If you like<br />

Yoga this is the class for you. This practice<br />
is the marine corps of Yoga. A strong<br />
athletic practice based on the principles of<br />
Ashtanga. This practice develops strength<br />
and flexibility, Helping create a strong lean<br />

ARMAGEDDON<br />
Armageddon is the fast paced, variable<br />
intensity group fitness concept for people<br />
of all levels. It is carefully designed to<br />
encourage development in your fitness<br />
and aids in both fat loss and muscular<br />
improvement. The class uses an innovative<br />
component design solely based upon body<br />
weight and a unique blend of intensity levels<br />
that encourage fast results and continuous<br />

AQUA AEROBICS<br />
Aqua Aerobics brings music, exercise and<br />
fun to the pool. Tone, tighten and splash<br />
into shape in a fun filled environment using<br />
resistance gloves, woggles and water<br />
weights to create an effective workout for<br />

BEGIN 2 SPIN<br />
Begin 2 Spin is a 30 minute indoor<br />
cycling class taking you through the basic<br />

INDOOR CYCLING<br />
Possibly the highest calorie burning class<br />
you can do. This low impact studio cycling<br />
class will take your fitness to another level.<br />

30 minutes of <strong>Studio</strong> cycling, great for those<br />
looking to build up to a full hour class or<br />
those short of time wanting an effective<br />
workout.<br />
KETTLE BELL EXPRESS<br />
Kettle Bells Express is the Functional<br />
Training session enabling you to work<br />
multiple muscle groups and burn calories<br />
fast! It is a short 45 minute class suitable<br />
forbeginners to exercise but also provids<br />
enough of a challenge if you want it.<br />
NETBALL<br />
Situated in our outdoor courts, a brand<br />
new fitness activity introduced to our studio<br />
class programme. If you are just starting<br />
out or looking to rekindle skills previously<br />
developed, come along and enjoy some<br />
friendly game play and skill development.<br />
PILATES<br />
Pilates utilises exercises that focus on the<br />
deep inner core muscles, providing stability<br />
and strength for everyday living.
