Practice accounting:
decoding the future
October 2011 will see a number of changes in
the legal sector. Although practices are used to
seeing change, having so many at once is a lot
to deal with, even for the most organised of
firms.
Although ABSs have been delayed, pending Parliamentary
approval, the new Code of Conduct and Outcomes
Focused Regulation have not. There are a number of
issues that practices need to consider and prepare for.
Our legal seminar will look at the impact of these
changes, and in particular the following:-
An introduction to the new SRA Accounts Rules, and
a look at how firms can design and implement new
procedures to deal with them effectively.
The new Code of Conduct, and in particular the
financial requirements and risk assessments that each
firm is required to undertake.
The impact of ABS. What are outsider investors
looking for? Does size matter? What makes a
successful merger? The benefits and drawbacks of
mergers.
The seminar is open to partners, members, directors and
practice managers.
We hope that you will be able to join us for what
promises to be an informative and enjoyable event.
We are registered with the Law Society as an
approved course provider, and attendees will be
entitled to 1.5 hours of CPD.
