Additional Basic Qualification (ABQ) Courses and
Honour Specialist Qualification (HSQ) Courses in
several formats, so you can study the way that
suits your lifestyle and your learning style best.

Online. Take your courses in a virtual
classroom where you can interact with your
instructor and fellow colleagues.
On Your Own. Independent Study lets
you complete the reading materials and
assignments at your own pace within the
defined timelines.
Online and Independent Study courses provide
flexibility for teachers with personal and
professional commitments which may restrict
their ability to take courses in a more traditional
classroom setting.
On-Campus and Off. Blended Delivery
lets you experience the best of both
worlds! Blended delivery combines
shorter, face-to-face sessions with the
distance learning of videoconferences
and/or online learning.
Transferability of Credentials
Our AQ/ABQ/HSQ courses carry full university
degree credit (1.0 FCE) counted towards the BEd
Extension degree program. This means your courses
are recognized by teaching governance bodies in
other jurisdictions outside of Ontario such as in B.C.
and Alberta!
Accreditation
Our experienced professionals provide high-quality
instruction and all courses are accredited by the
Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and qualifications
earned are submitted for inclusion on your
Certificate of Qualification and Registration.
Additionally, all courses (except PQP) are recognized
as both AQs and university degree credits by both
QECO and OSSTF’s salary placement evaluation
programs as you build your career.

and $725 for ABQs and Honour Specialist. Please
