Business challenge Having experienced rapid business growth in an increasingly technologically driven environment and recognizing a demand from the financial services marketplace, DTCC decided it could offer a new vision and a new way of operating. Corporate actions, such as tender offers, stock splits and mergers, needed to move from nonstandard, manual procedures—which financial intermediaries across the globe view as too risky— to a flexible, dynamic new platform that could cope with both predicted and unanticipated events. It turned to Accenture to help envision and develop an ambitious service that would automate the processing of corporate announcements. DTCC's Global Corporate Action (GCA) Validation Service was co-developed between DTCC and Accenture, which called in the expertise of one of its most valued assets—the Accenture Global Delivery Network (GDN).
