Recut these (15) strips into atotal of: (18) 6 ½" x 11 ½" pieces and(4) 6 ½" x 6 ½" squares.Quilt AssemblyPanel QuiltAll seams are sewn using 1/4" seam allowance withpieces held right sides together and raw edges even.1. Trim the selvages from the 2 ½" green dot strips andsew the strips together end to end to make a long 2 ½"strip. Cut this long strip into (2) 50 ½" lengths. Stitchthese pieces to the right and left sides of the40 ½" x 50 ½" trimmed printed panel. Press the seamstoward the green dot strips.2. Trim the selvages from the 3" green dot strips and sewthe strips together end to end to make a long 3" strip. Cutthis long strip into (2) 44 ½" lengths. Sew these pieces tothe top and bottom of the printed panel unit. Press theseams toward the green dot strips.3. From the assorted prints, select (5) different6 ½" x 11 ½" pieces. Stitch these pieces end to end tomake a pieced 6 ½" x 55 ½" strip. Repeat to make asecond unit. Stitch the pieced borders to the right andleft sides of the quilt top. Press the seams toward thepieced borders.4. From the assorted prints, select (4) different6 ½" x 11 ½" pieces. Stitch these pieces end to end tomake a pieced 6 ½" x 44 ½" strip. Repeat to make asecond unit. Stitch 6 ½" squares to each end of each unit.Press these seams away from the squares. Sew the piecedborders to the top and bottom of the quilt top. Press theseams toward the pieced borders.5. Trim the selvages from the 2" green dot strips and sewthe strips together end to end to make a long 2" strip. Cutthis long strip into (2) 67 ½" and (2) 59 ½" lengths. Sewthe longer pieces to the right and left sides of the quilt top.Press the seams toward the green strips. Sew the shorterpieces to the top and bottom. Press these seams towardthe green strips.6. Trim the selvages from the 5 ½" red snowflake stripsand sew the strips together end to end to make a long5 ½" strip. Cut this long strip into (2) 70 ½" and(2) 69 ½" lengths. Sew the longer strips to the right andleft sides of the quilt top. Press the seams toward the redstrips. Sew the shorter strips to the top and bottom. Pressthese strips toward the red strips to complete the quilt top.7. Layer the completed quilt top with batting and backingand quilt as desired.8. Recut into (1) 29 ½" x 38 ½" piecefor the appliqué background.From the green dot, cut:(1) 4 ¼" strip.(4) 1 ½" strips for the inner border.(6) 2 ¼" strips for the binding.From the red snowflake, cut:(1) 4 ¼" strip.(4) 2 ½" strips for the middle border.From the blue dot, cut:(1) 6 ½" strip. Recut into (4) 6 ½" x 6 ½" squares.From the green holly, cut:(1) 4 ¼" strip. Trim a 12" long piece from thisstrip; then cut this piece into (4) 2 ½" x 2 ½"squares.From the gold snowflake, cut:(1) 4 ¼" strip. Trim an 8" long piece from thisstrip; then cut this piece into (4) 1 ½" x 1 ½"squares.From EACH of the remaining (5) fabrics, cut:(1) 4 ¼" strip.1. Using the paper pattern provided and template plastic, make atemplate for the 3 ¾" wide circle shape. Please note that thetemplate does not include any seam allowance. Trace (30) circlesonto the paper side of the fusible webbing, leaving 1/2" marginbetween shapes. Cut out each circle 1/4" outside the traced line.2. Following the manufacturer's instructions, fuse the (30) tracedcircles to the wrong side of the various 4 ¼" fabric strips, using thequilt pictured on the cover as a guide to fabric selection.3. Remove the paper backing from the fused circles and arrangethem on to the right side of the white dot background piece. Usea yardstick to arrange each row of circles in a straight line. Onceyou are happy with the final layout, fuse the circles into place andovercast the outer raw edge of each circle using matching threadand the decorative machine stitch of your choice.Quilt AssemblyTree Wall HangingMake the Center PanelAll seams are sewn using 1/4" seam allowance withpieces held right sides together and raw edges even.1. Trim (2) 1 ½" green dot strips to 38 ½" (if your measurements aredifferent, cut to fit your appliqué background) and sew the trimmedstrips to the right and left sides of the appliqué background. Trim(2) 1 ½" green dot strips to 29½" (if your measurements are different,cut to fit your appliqué background). Stitch a 1 ½" gold snowflakesquare to each end of each trimmed strip. Sew these pieced unitsto the top and bottom of the appliqué background.2. Trim (2) 2 ½" red snowflake strips to 40 ½ (if your measurementsare different, cut to fit your quilt top) and sew the trimmed strips tothe right and left sides of the quilt top. Trim (2) 2 ½" red snowflakestrips to 31½" (if your measurements are different, cut to fit your quilttop). Stitch a 2 ½" green holly square to each end of each trimmedstrip. Sew these pieced units to the top and bottom of the quilt top.3. Sew 6 ½" white caps lengthwise cut strips to the right and leftsides of the quilt top, noting orientation of the printed caps. Trimthese strips even with the top and bottom edges of the quilt top.4. Trim the (2) widthwise cut 6 ½" white caps strips to 35 ½" (ifyour measurements are different, cut to fit your quilt top). Stitch a6 ½" blue dot square to each end of each trimmed strip. Sew thesepieced units to the top and bottom of the quilt top.5. Layer the completed quilt top with batting and backing and quiltas desired.6.
