Advanced Nurse Practitioners Continued..multiple and complex health care needs of the Veteran population by offering greater holistic and preventativeapproaches to care. As a team player; a Nurse Practitioner who can fill the needs in multiple care deliveryareas acquires a broader understanding of how to make effective connections between departments whichreduces some of the fragmentation and isolation that occurs in health care delivery, often known as the “siloeffect.”Nurse Practitioners are highly skilled,highly educated and valuable strategicplayers in the delivery of health care.
