PREFACE5IT WAS the year 1945, in the month of May. The Senior theologystudents at La Sierra College were taking a course in ChurchHis-tory, taught by Dr. Keld J. Reynolds. At that time Dr. Reynoldswas the Academic Dean of the college. He later became EducationalSecretary of the General Conference. On this particular morning he was lecturing the class about the Jesuits. He described their origin, their history, and their specific functionin the Roman Catholic Church. And they have demonstrated great zeal in theirattempts to destroy faith in the Spirit of Prophecy. They recognize it astheir greatest enemy. These activities are well worthy of the Jesuits, and would bring them high commendation from the Vatican.I have not been alone in my observations. Ron Spear has had anexperience similar to mine, he has made observations similar to mine,5
