ANTE – 0023 - BiologistMinimum/<strong>General</strong> Experience<strong>General</strong>ly, this <strong>category</strong> requires five years’experience with at least two years of field workspecializing in biological characterization and thecapability to supervise and complete field work.Functional ResponsibilityEmphasis on data collection, analysis andtechnical support. Supervise and assist in thecollection of data on soils, flora, fauna, hydrology,elevation, slope, and other biophysicalcharacteristics to assess the environmental effectsof training activities. The Biologist will be aware offederal, state and local rules and regulations thatdeal directly with that tasks being supported so thatthey will assist with compliance of any actionsrequired. This support shall include collecting datafor each inventory and survey using hand-helddata loggers, written log sheets, and globalpositioning systems for incorporation into the fielddatabase.
