Fort Howard Hall,Weidner Center, Green Bay.465-2000.Hope for the HomelessThirty is an important number for the Emergency Center ofthe <strong>Fox</strong> Valley, which will soon celebrate its 30thanniversary, but it’s not the only significant number.Four hundred people in the <strong>Fox</strong> <strong>Cities</strong> area sleep on thestreet every night, 886 people were housed in the shelterlast year and 185 of them were children.“I think those numbers are justunbelievable,” says Jennifer Dieter, funddevelopment and volunteer coordinatorfor the shelter.The shelter will be raising money andawareness with its 6th Annual Benefit Galaat the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel onNovember 15.The event will highlight the shelter’s currentprogramming and feature auctions with bids supporting theshelter’s services.
