Remotely controlled eye-safe laser rangefinderLRM-E2 is designed around an Er:Glass laser transmittercomplying with Class 1 (no laser hazard) IEC safetyrequirements. Extinction ratio exceeds 42 dB and allowsranging of non-cooperative targets at distances up to 20km. A system of optical wedges for alignment of LRM-E2with optical axes of another sensor – typically video orthermal camera – is provided as an integral part of theinstrument. Control of the alignment is by means of aremovable eyepiece, which can be equipped with a CCDcamera. Data exchange protocol is according to RS 232,RS 422 or RS 485. Comprehensive BIT (Built-In Test)capability is implemented.
