Lihay BendayanLe violoniste Lihay Bendayan, né en 1975 en Israël, est denationalité suisse et israélienne. Il a suivi son premier cours deviolon à l'âge de quatre ans et a joué pour la première fois enconcert à l'âge de cinq ans. Soliste et musicien de chambre,Lihay Bendayan est également membre du Bendayan Trio,professeur de violon à la Haute École de Musique de Lausanneau site de Sion, et professeur principal, à la tête des classes deviolon, à l'Académie de Musique et de Danse de Jérusalem.Lihay Bendayan a été l'élève des Maîtres les plus illustres desa génération, des grands représentants des importantesécoles de violon tels que Miriam Solovieff, la violonisteaméricaine, élève de Karl Flesch et de Louis Persinger (quiforma notamment Yehudi Menuhin, Isaac Stern, Ruggiero Ricciet Dorothey Delay), du virtuose hongrois Tibor Varga et de lalégendaire Ilona Feher. Lihay Bendayan est le plus jeune et l’undes derniers élèves d'Ilona Feher, professeur de SchmuelAshkenazi, Pinchas Zukermann et de Shlomo Mintz.Passionné par l’aspect pédagogique, Lihay Bendayan s'est inspiré de ces grands Maîtres dans saméthode d'enseignement, faisant ainsi la synthèse de ces importantes écoles et de leurs richesses.Remarqué par Isaac Stern à l'âge de neuf ans, Lihay Bendayan a remporté dès l'année suivante le prixde la fondation culturelle "American-Israel", ceci pendant dix années consécutives. Il s'est produit ensoliste en Israël et dans plusieurs villes européennes en Suisse, en France, en Allemagne, en Italie, enAngleterre (parmi d'autres manifestations, le Debut Concert à Londres en l'an 2000 à ST MARTIN INTHE FIELDS, interprétant le concerto de Mendelssohn et les "Airs Bohémiens" de Sarasate) et aégalement joué de nombreux concerts sous la baquette de Tibor Varga, interprétant des piècesvirtuoses tels que le Concerto n°5 de Vieuxtemps, la Fantaisie "Moise" de Paganini ou le "Nigun" deBloch, qui a été notamment enregistré, accompagné par l'orchestre du festival Tibor Varga dans desdiverses tournées en Suisse et à l’étranger.En 2002, Lihay Bendayan a fondé avec ses frères le Bendayan Trio avec lequel il se produitrégulièrement dans les plus prestigieuses salles de concert et festivals ainsi qu'à la télévision et à laradio en Europe et en Israël. Le Bendayan Trio, lancé par « Agneta Lansing Artist Management » en2003 a enregistré les trios de Mendelssohn, Fauré, Chostakovitch et Rachmaninov chez FattoriaMusica en Allemagne. Les enregistrements et les concerts du Trio ont fait de nombreuses critiquespassionnées tels que: « Un Chostakovitch si beau, que des larmes ont presque coulé... » (SuddeutcheZeitung), «… joué de toute son âme dans une transe » (Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung), « Un public entranse » (Grafschafter Nachrichten).Lihay Bendayan a été nommé Professeur à l'âge de 29 ans au Conservatoire Supérieur et Académie deMusique Tibor Varga qui intégrera en 2008 la Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, et Professeur à latête de la section des violons à l’académie de Musique et de Danse de Jérusalem en 2010. Il se dédieavec passion à l'enseignement dans les deux institutions, parallèlement à son activité de violonisteconcertiste.

Solo and chamber musician, LihayBendayan is a member of the renowned BENDAYAN TRIO,Professor of Violin at the Lausanne University of AppliedSciences in Music (Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne) anda Professor, Head of the Violin Class, at the JerusalemAcademy of Music and Dance.Lihay Bendayan was the pupil of some of the most illustriousMaestros of his generation, important representatives of majorviolin schools such as Miriam Solovieff (American violinist,pupil of Carl Flesch and Louis Persinger who formed amongstothers Yehudi Menuhin, Isaac Stern, Dorothey Delay andRuggiero Ricci), Hungarian virtuoso Tibor Varga, Professor YairKless and the legendary Ilona Feher. Lihay Bendayan is theyoungest and one of the last pupils of Ilona Feher, the teacherof Shmuel Ashkenazy, Pinchas Zukermann and Shlomo Mintz.Passionate by the pedagogical aspect, Lihay Bendayan was inspired by these great pedagogues in histeaching method, elaborating the synthesis of these important violin schools.Noticed by Isaac Stern at the age of nine, Lihay Bendayan had won from the following year and duringten consecutive years the awards of the "American-Israel" cultural foundation. He has appeared as asoloist in Israel and in numerous European cities in countries such as Switzerland, France, Germany,Italy, England (where he also played his Debut Concert in the year 2000 in London at ST MARTIN INTHE FIELDS, performing the Mendelssohn concerto and the "Gypsy Airs" by Sarasate) and playedseveral concerts under the direction of Tibor Varga and his chamber orchestra, performing virtuosopieces such as the Concerto no. 5 of Vieuxtemps, Paganini’s "Moses Fantasy” or the "Nigun" by Bloch(which he recorded under Varga’s direction) in various tours in Switzerland and abroad.In 2002 Lihay Bendayan founded with his brothers the BENDAYAN TRIO who performs regularly inprestigious concert halls and festivals, and was broadcasted on the television and radio aroundEurope and in Israel. The Bendayan Trio, launched by Agneta Lansing Artist Management in 2003,recorded the trios by Mendelssohn, Faure, Shostakovich and Rachmaninoff at “Fattoria Musica” inGermany.
