Bilge Pullers will sponsor this year’s <strong>Winter</strong><strong>Inland</strong> to be held February 9-10 at Chenequa Country Club inHartland, Wisconsin. All meetings, awards, and presentationsfor the 2013 ILYA <strong>Winter</strong> <strong>Inland</strong> will take place on Saturday,Feb. 9. Check the schedule on page 6 to see what events youwant to attend, but be sure to stay for lunch, hors d’oeuvres,and the special Rules Presentations by Dick Rose!Same Great Location as last year!We appreciate their help in bringing Dick Rose to the <strong>Winter</strong><strong>Inland</strong> to speak on the Racing Rules of Sailing, 2013-1016edition.Dick will speak twice during the dayon Saturday—first to the Race Committee(all are welcome), and to the entireassemblage after the awards presentations.Dick’s two formal programs will notduplicate information. Dick will also beavailable to meet with you informally during the day.Fleet Meetings on Saturday MorningRegistration on Saturday morning will begin at 8:30a.m. with the Promotions/Communications Committeemeeting from 9:00–9:45. Everyone is welcome.The Optimist Fleet meeting starts at 9:00 followed by the X,E and Melges 17 fleet meetings at 10:00.Dick Rose will speak to the Race Committee at 10:00,concentrating on the effect of the new rules on race committeeprocedures. All are welcome.The Annual Meeting of the <strong>Association</strong> will commenceat 11:00. Club Delegates will discuss current issues and electdirectors.Grab some Lunch when you likeThere will be a Buffet Soup & Sandwich lunch availablefrom 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. so that you can grab somecomforting food to take to your meetings, or enjoy betweenmeetings.Fleet Meetings resume Saturday AfternoonFleet meetings for classes A, C, and I-20 will begin at12:30. The group will be brainstorming ideas to make ILYARegattas the Must Attend events that they should be. Anyoneinterested is invited to attend and participate.ILYA Annual Awards PresentationsThe bar will be open all day, but plan on some additionalrefreshment and an appetizer buffet beginning at 4:00 as thePillsbury Memorial Cup, the Hunt Member of the Year, and theClub of the Year Trophies are awarded along with other <strong>Inland</strong>presentations.Special Guest Speaker: Dick RoseThen about 4:30 p.m., thanks to sponsorship from the BilgePullers, Dick Rose will entertain us with the basic changesin the new Racing Rules of Sailing for 2013-2016. Dick’spresentations are entertaining and informative, and enjoyed byracers and non-racers alike. See more about Dick on page 7.ILYA Board Meets SundayThe ILYA Board of Directors will meet on Sunday at 8:30a.m. for its annual winter meeting. All are welcome.Pre-Registration is Absolutely RequiredThanks to the sponsorship of the I.L.Y.A. Bilge Pullers,we are able to set the registration fee at $25 per registrant.This includes all meetings, lunch buffet, appetizers, and DickRose’s presentation.
