Hardware
• Laser Trackers – The LTD800 is the latest addition to the Leica Laser Tracker
family of metrology products designed for portable coordinate measurement. The
laser tracker offers the fastest measurement cycle in the industry for high-point
density (3,000 points/second), and the longest measurement distance for large
volume work up to 40m (135 ft). The Leica Laser Tracker is more than just a
tracker, it is a portable CMM with tracking facilities.
• Leica Universal CMM – The revolutionary Universal CMM is the world’s first
Coordinate Measuring System that can probe like a CMM, scan like a Laser
Scanner, track like a Laser Tracker in just one convenient system:
• Leica T-Probe – This armless, wireless, hand-held “Walk-Around” CMM raises the
bar to a whole new level, establishing extremely high standards in both precision
and ease of use. The T-Probe enables inspections of hidden points as well as
inspections of up to 9 cars in one setup.
• Leica T-Scan – This high-speed hand scanner digitizes small and large objects 50
percent faster than regular scanners. It scans most surfaces with no need for
powder or photogrammetric targets—from clay and foam to textiles, folio-covered
surfaces and sheet metal.
• Leica Theodolite Systems – Leica's tracking Total Stations bring precision to the
shop floor in heavy industries and other areas in which extremely rugged
construction and ultra-high quality go hand in hand. Leica’s electro-optical
Theodolites have set global standards in practically all optical precision alignment
systems used in satellite and aircraft manufacturing.
• Accessories – The Metrology Division offers a wide selection of reflectors and
accessories to create new dimensions for Leica trackers, scanners and
theodolites.
Software
• Metrolog XG for Leica – The global 3D inspection software is a standard for
measuring applications in automotive, aerospace and the general precision
industry.
Metrolog XG for Leica provides the interface between the Leica Laser Tracker
and the Walk-Around CMM, the Leica T-Probe. In addition, more than 50
interfaces for CMMs and PCMMs are available, giving you unmatched freedom of
choice. The graphical visualization provides direct interfaces for virtually any
neutral and native CAD format. A powerful feature-based measurement tool, a
complete GD&T engine, customizable reporting and a simple & fast programming
DIVISIONAL PROFILE

language plus world-class support let you simplify your sophisticated assembly
and inspection processes well beyond your expectations.
Metrolog XG for Leica is available in 14 languages and supports WinXP and
Win2000.
• Axyz – The Leica Axyz software enables complete integration of theodolites, total
stations and laser trackers into your company's manufacturing processes. The
software works in tandem with Leica Laser Trackers. Measurement data can be
easily accessed with customizable report generation tools. The software allows
multiple sensors to work concurrently or independently either within single or
multiple 3D coordinate system(s). Another clear Axyz advantage is its Process
Automation Module (PAM) used to program a system using simple step-by-step
operator prompts. As instruments acquire data, they intelligently move on to the
next step. This type of automation foolproofs your system, reduces manual error
and is ideal for use in training.
• emScon – With the new Leica Tracker Programming Interface modules, software
applications can be created to fully control the Leica Laser Tracker by using
proven industry standards like Microsoft ®
Excel, Word, Access or Visual Basic,
keeping the learning curve down to a bare minimum. This way, your system is
independent from the type of operating system you are using. You’ll be equally at
home with Windows, Unix, Linux or any other operating system. The programming
as well as the tracker's interface have open-end architecture to create modules
for any CAD/CAM/CAE application software.
