will be a petting zoo, games and prizes<br />

announce that they will be sponsoring<br />
the third annual “Dog Fest,” a day <strong>of</strong> food<br />
and fun for our furry friends and their<br />
families. The event will take place on<br />
Sunday, October 6th (rain date is October<br />
13th) from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at<br />
Windward Beach on Princeton Avenue in<br />
<strong>Brick</strong>. General admission donation is $5.<br />
There will be an additional registration<br />
fee for competing canines. For additional<br />

The day’s festivities will include canine<br />
demonstrations, contests, prizes, food<br />
and fun for our furry friends and their<br />
families. There will be contests for<br />
the dogs in costume and in various<br />

service dogs will take place throughout the<br />
day. Families can shop for supplies and<br />
services for their pets that are provided<br />
by local vendors. There will be food and<br />

CA rM e l e n A CAr e s, in C., held their 2nd<br />
annual golf outing at Eagle Ridge Golf<br />
Course on Aug.6th. The successful outing<br />
raised funds to help deserving children<br />
who have suffered traumatic injuries with<br />
therapies and/or therapeutic equipment.<br />
Carmelena Cares was established in 2011<br />
by Vinnie and Joanne Mancini after they<br />
saw firsthand the need to help children<br />
whose families could not afford necessary<br />
equipment or therapy. Their daughter,<br />
Carmelena was severely injured after<br />
being hit by a car in 2006. Carmelena is<br />
well cared for and no funds are used for<br />
her care. To date, Carmelena Cares has<br />
provided a specialized bike for a <strong>Brick</strong><br />
Twp. girl and an iPad for a young man<br />
