Melin Homes LimitedJob DescriptionCommunity Safety Team LeaderResponsible to: Housing ManagerResponsible for: Community Safety Team StaffPurpose:To assist the Housing manager in providing a cost effective, responsive,customer focused and quality housing service with particular focus on workaimed at reducing and tackling anti-social behaviour.Main responsibilities:1. To lead on the development, co-ordination and management of theAssociation’s response to anti-social behaviour.2. To ensure that the service is delivered in accordance with relevantlegislation, good practice, regulatory requirements and best value.3. To advise the Housing Manager on the development of the Association’spolicies and procedures4. To ensure that the anti-social behaviour service is delivered in accordancewith the Association’s policies and procedures.5. To provide an occasional out of hours service to tenants and residentswho are experiencing fear, nuisance and distress as a result of the antisocialbehaviour of their neighbours and visitors to the estate.6. To liaise with other departments on a regular basis to ensure that generaloperational matters are carried out effectively and close joint workingtakes place.7. To liaise and maintain good working relationships with all relevant externalagencies.8. To supervise Community Safety Staff including the distribution of work.

9. To produce performance information for the Housing Manager as and whenrequired.10. To deputise for the Housing Manager as and when required in liaising withsenior operations staff and external agencies.11. As and when necessary to undertake the duties of Community Safety TeamStaff.12. To contribute to <strong>Melin</strong>’s corporate activities as and when required.13.
