Spring is already here (atleast on the calendar) and in typical Kentucky fashion it had been 75 degreesand 25 degrees in the same week! I guess that is why we love it here. The Club has been very active recently. Not only are all of the committeesin full swing, but our professionals and staff have been extremely busy gettingeverything ready for the weather to break! It is only a matter of time…We continue to try and find ways to improve our member experience andthe atmosphere at the Club. In my three years as a member of the Board ofDirectors, I do not recall our committees being this engaged at the Club. Allof our committees are doing their very best to maintain and improve apositive member experience. I have heard a lot of feedback from our membership over the past month. All of the comments I am receiving are extremely positive! Thank you all for the feedback. Pleasetake the time to thank your committee members and the staff. They are the reason for all of thepositive changes! To the committees and the staff I would like to say THANK YOU and we appreciateyour hard work and time very much.If you haven’t had a chance to see (or taste) all of the positive changes at the Club, please comeout soon. I look forward to seeing you all there. 1ST BCCBEER TASTINGBehind the FlameThank you for the opportunity to become part of the close knit family of membersand staff at Bellefonte Country Club. It has been a long journey for me to find sucha dedicated group of professional people who love their positions in life and genuinelycare about their craft. Everyone asks me if I enjoy my job and my reply is always, “thisisn’t work to me because I have too much fun!” I admit at times it can be stressful sinceI share a little of myself with each dish I prepare with the hope that everyone takesas much pleasure in eating as I do in creating the meal for them. This is my goal and my motivation inbecoming a chef, to prepare and serve fresh, wholesome, quality foods for people to experience and appreciatejust as much as I do.I appreciate and want to thank my staff in the back of the kitchen – if I didn’t have their support, this“motor” would not run! They are my backbone and my fuel. Like my father told me, you are only as good asthe people around you and we all guide each other. They also love what they do and I can’t wait to see whatawaits us in the future.Kitchen StaffBrian Marting, Sous ChefJeffrey Neil Workman, Grill ChefMelissa Adkins, Pastry ChefMarc Bond, Grill ChefJustin Waterman, Sauté ChefJessi Nicole Thompson, Garde Manger ChefLouis Ed McClenahan, Garde Manger ChefThe Work Horses of the KitchenWindle Gipson, Dish Tank Manager, and his Professional Crew - James Miles (Mr. Jingles)and Kevin MaysWe are looking forward to the PAC Spring Gala and are gearing up for the opening of the beautiful BCCpool and golf course.Again, thank you for your support and give me a call or email if you have any ideas, questions or just tolet me know something you preferred not to share on your grill comment card…”lol.”Jason Oesterreicher, Chefjason@bellefontecc.comLADIES’ SPRINGCOFFEE#659CourtsideBELLEFONTEJUNIOR &ADULT TENNISTOURNAMENTwill be held from April12-14 for Boys & Girls12, 14, 16 & 18(Singles & Doubles);Boys & Girls 10Singles; Men &Women (Open, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70) Singles;Men's Doubles; Women's Doubles; and MixedDoubles.
