Installation (IMPORTANT: Make sure you have accompanying Installation Sheet for Style being installed)STEP 1STEP 2STEP 3String your line from end to end turningat corners. This will enable a straightline of fence.It is recommended to dig one hole at atime. The hole should be as deep as thepost depending on grade. No less than30” below grade for 5” x 5” posts and42” for 8” x 8” posts. The diameter ofthe hole should be no less than 12” for5” x 5” posts and 15” for 8” x 8” posts(See Figure 1). A premium wet or dryconcrete mix is to be used dependingon ground condition in the area. Thepurpose of this specification is to establish arecognized standard of quality for exterior Vinylprofiles for use in assembling agricultural,commercial, and residential fencing and railing.This specification covers Illusions ® Vinyl Fencesections and the EverStrong ® Profiles used tofabricate them.MaterialsIllusions ® Vinyl Fence Products aremanufactured using Rigid Poly VinylChloride (PVC) compounds for exterior-profileextrusions that meet the requirements of ASTMSpecification D4216.ManufactureIllusions ® Vinyl Fence Products aremanufactured to meet cell Class 1–32333–3as defined in Specification D4216. Illusions®compounds have higher cell classificationbecause one or more properties are superior tothose used in standard acceptable compounds.Color/Consistency Testing – The PVC compoundin extruded section shall maintain uniform colorand be free of any visual surface or structuralchanges, such as peeling, chipping, cracking,flaking, or pitting after weathering at intervalsof six months and one year for white and for sixmonths, one year, and two years for all othercolors in hot, dry climate such as Phoenix, AZ;a hot humid climate, such as Miami, FL; anda temperate northern climate, when tested inaccordance with ASTM Performance WeatheringRequirements (TABLE 1).Weathering Testing – The PVC compound shallhave a minimum impact resistance of 0.6 in.-lb/mil (2670 J/m) after weathering six months andone year in a hot, dry climate such as Phoenix,AZ; a hot, humid climate, such as Miami,FL; and a temperate northern climate, whentested in accordance with ASTM PerformanceWeathering Requirements. All will be done at the startup of aproduction and once per shift thereafter with aminimum of two tests per 24 hours of production.Illusions ® Vinyl Fences have been independently tested and certified to withstand winds up to 75 miles per hour.This includes our complete line of Privacy (Series V300, V3215, and V3700) up to 8 foot height.
