CHAPTER - IVSTAFF AND LABOUR SUPPLY4.1 STAFF:The forests covered under this Working plan fall in five Ranges of FerozepurForest Division. These are Zira, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Jalalabad and Abohar. These are beingcontrolled by the D.F.O, from District Headquarters (Ferozepur). Since the work load hasincreased due to the various development schemes, the staff in the Ranges is not adequate. Thepresent position of the staff in the five ranges and Divisional Office is given in the TableNo.5.The present position of staff in the Ferozepur Forest Division is very meager. Due toshortage of field staff it is very difficult to protect the forest as such. Therefore it is stronglyrecommended that the sanctioned strength of staff should immediately be given in the interest ofProtection, Conservation and Development of forests.
