Sessions runfor 4½ hrs (5½ hrs on Sunday), and in order to maximise yourtime at the event, we recommend you get there a little early. Restassured, best endeavours will be made to move any queues whichcould form before opening but allow yourself plenty of time.As this is a licenced event, ensure you can provide photo ID onrequest. The event organisers also reserve the right to check bags.Beers (& other Drinks)Sixty of the best craft breweries in Australia and New Zealandhave been invited to brew a brand new, original draught beer forthis event. All will have never been tasted before; most will neverbe available again.Each session has the same allocation of kegs but beers may runout toward the end of the session depending on their popularity.Wines, Napoleone Cider, Schweppes soft drinks and bottled waterwill also be sold. Free water is available at hydration stationslocated at each bar and around the Great Hall.Bars(see venue map)Four bars will each serve the same range of drinks. They havebeen set up with speed of service in mind so please follow staffinstructions and signage to ensure efficient operation.All drink and food purchases at GABS can only be madeusing official GABS tokens. Each token is worth $2.To reduce the time in queues, we strongly encourage people topre-purchase tokens via Ticketmaster.com.au. Additional tokensare also available for sale during GABS from the Token Booths(with cash or card) or from Mobile Token Sellers roaming theGreat Hall (cash only).Tokens come in packs of 5 (for $10). They are not refundable andare only valid for GABS 2012. ATMs are located around the GreatHall l as shown noon themap.Tasting Paddles and Glass SizesSampling a wide variety of GABS beers is the name of the game.Each beer is available in 85ml Tasters or your 380ml souvenirGABS glass which holds 33% more than a regular Pot.When you’ve sampled enough, you can have your 380ml souvenirGABS glass filled with any beer. The cost of a full glass varies bybeer. Hang on to your glass as you will only receive one. Thereare rinsing stations at each bar and replacement glasses can bepurchased from the Merchandise Stall.Meet the BrewersBrewers who have brewed a beer for GABS will be clearlyidentified by their ‘2012 GABS Brewer’ caps. They love talkingabout their beers so don’t hesitate to bail them up!People’s Choice Best Beer of GABSENTTRYUP TOCRAFT BEERERCOLLLLEGEGEAll GABS attendees are invited to vote for their favourite beer ofGABS. One lucky, randomly selected voter will win first prize of a‘Year of Craft Beer' comprising 52 cases of craft beer generouslydonated by Dan Murphy’s, Major Sponsor of GABS. You’re encouraged to purchase your foodthen sit and eat at the vast communal tables in the Great Hall.All food purchases are by GABS Tokens only and the Food Marketwill stop serving 15 minutes prior to each session finishing.This is an alcohol and smoke free zone.Merchandise(see venue map)Official GABS merchandise will be available at the MerchandiseStall. This will include GABS caps, t-shirts and growlers. Cash,card or tokens are all accepted.Entertainment(see venue map)Each session will feature a live band performing on the mainstage. There will also be roaming entertainers both outside andinside the Great Hall.5
