How do you do school ?This is perhaps the most important question ayoung girl might ask herself as she advances frommiddle school to high school. She has alreadyspent 1,456 days seated in a desk. But is she fullyprepared to step up her academic game to thehigh school level? Does she know how to step itup?<strong>Preston</strong> is proud to introduce <strong>Preston</strong>’s Reachfor Excellence Program. This program was developedto prepare middle school students forhigh school. The program has three sections.Project Prepare is for rising 6th, 7th and 8thgrade girls who want to sharpen their CommonCore skills in reading, writing and math. Themorning session consists of classes which mayinclude Real Live Science, Creative Writing,Greek Mythology, Reading, Math, and GraphicDesign. The second part of the day will employProcess Drama instruction. Imagine the girlsworking in Apprentice style groups to investigateand solve real world problems. The sessions concludewith the girls presenting their projects totheir families and <strong>Preston</strong> faculty members.Academic Boot Camp is an exclusive programspecifically designed to prepare incoming freshmenfor the rigors of high school reading, writing,and mathematics.Scheduled in the summer, students can sharpentheir Common Core skills outside the pressure ofthe school year.
