State Homeland Security Program (SHSP)This core assistance program provides funds to build capabilities at the state and local levels and toimplement the goals and objectives included in state homeland security strategies and initiatives in theirState Preparedness Report. Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)The Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) provide for long-term needs, such as acquisition,rehabilitation or reconstruction of damaged properties and facilities and redevelopment of disasteraffectedareas. Funds may also be used for emergency response activities, such as debris clearance anddemolition, extraordinary increases in the level of necessary public services.
