E Y E O N A R B O N N ECATCHTHE VISIONDing-dong… I opened the door, and standing in front of me was oneof my dearest friends holding a gold tote. I was excited that Susan hadbrought me a present! But when I found out what was inside — a lineof anti-aging skin care products — I was a little disappointed. However,I graciously accepted the NutriMinC ® RE 9® samples to try, and thatgold bag sat on my vanity for an entire month. I never even used thewonderful orange bottles inside! Little did I know that gold tote wouldtransform my family’s life forever. My husband and I were self-employed and we worked constantly fromour home offi ce. We wanted to be present in our children’s lives, so wedecided to keep them home with us rather than choosing a daycareoption. Each day, I woke up at the crack of dawn to get a couple hoursof work in before the kids woke up. I took a break, and then at naptimeI would get back to work. Once they went to bed in the evening, youguessed it … I went to work again. I never got a break and the pacewas killing me. I became very depressed and exhausted, as this went onfor nearly six years. I was turning into a mom I wasn’t proud of: stressedevery minute of every day. The unfortunate part was that I didn’t haveanother option. I had to keep this pace up or we wouldn’t be able topay our bills. When Susan came over to pick up her sample gold bag, I informed herthat I was a bad friend, and hadn’t tried the skin care. I could tell shewas a little disappointed, but in the same breath, she invited me to anArbonne Presentation at her house. I reluctantly went, dragging myselfthere every step of the way. The Presentation was led by ENVP LoriLucero, and to my surprise, it was fun! When Lori spoke about Arbonneand the lifestyle it afforded her and her family, I caught the vision ofmichele johnsonArbonne Independent Consultant, Regional Vice PresidentMichele Johnson Region; Highlands Ranch, COwhat was possible with Arbonne. I became very disappointed with theway things were going, but I persevered for the next year and a half.I wanted to quit, which I knew would be much easier than my otheroption: committing to my business on a different level than I had in thepast. After weighing my options, I decided that I was going to make itwork, no matter what. The task ahead of me was truly daunting — mycalendar was empty and I didn’t have a single person working on myteam. I was basically starting over, and that is exactly what I did. I satdown with my empty calendar and made calls until I had 10 Presentationsscheduled. Once my calendar was fi lled with activity, everything startedto fall into place.
