new facility in britain
for international students
Opening in Autumn 2007, our new purpose-
built Study Centre will be the new central
Brighton home to both Bellerbys College
and Embassy CES. It will set new standards of
excellence for teaching, social and residential
facilities. Put simply, it is the best new facility
for international students in Britain.
Set in a contemporary, cutting-edge and
environmentally-friendly building, the centre
features four floors of teaching space, including
62 classrooms, science laboratories, art studios
and a state-of-the-art library.
Also within the centre are five floors of
residential accommodation, linked to the main
Study Centre by an enclosed glass bridge.
The residence features 375 single, en suite
bedrooms, plus limited shared rooms with
separate common rooms on each floor.
Our new centre is set in the heart of Brighton,
just a few minutes from the unique North
Laine area with its fashionable shops,
restaurants and entertainment venues.
It is very close to Brighton station and
other key transport links.

The new Brighton home of Embassy CES and Bellerbys College will be the best facility for
international students in Britain. We have created nearly 4,500 square metres of teaching space
capable of accommodating over 1,000 students. The Study Centre features 62 classrooms which
provide our usual small class environment plus the opportunity of larger lecture-style classes.
There are four specialist information technology suites, five science laboratories, five art studios
and a dark room. These will be complemented by a state-of-the-art library, a lecture/exam hall,
an internet café and a student bookshop. Of course, the entire building is wireless enabled.

great social facilities
The heart of the social facility at the new centre
is the huge, main student common room
situated near the cafeteria. It has plenty of sofas
for students to relax and chat with their friends.
It’s also a great place to socialise – whether
watching the latest Premiership football match
on the large plasma TV or perhaps a DVD. There
are plenty of vending machines in the common
room to cater for students’ day-to-day needs.
The internet café is right next door to the
common room. It is equipped with 50 PCs and

The bright, spacious cafeteria offers breakfast,
lunch and dinner, with hotel-quality catering
offering a wide range of choices including halal.
It can cater for up to 220 at any one time and is
split into two distinct zones; the lower level has
a café-like feel and the atrium area even offers
fresh coffee and snacks from the coffee cart.
The upper level has a more restaurant-like
ambience and is a great place to spend a bit
more time enjoying the fine food on offer. There
is also an outside courtyard area where students
can enjoy their food when the sun is shining.
