Section 21-25Abandoned or Disabled PropertyAny property, such as inoperable vehicles, oldappliances, furniture, machinery, constructionmaterials, etc., must be stored in a completelyenclosed, permitted structure.Section 3.06.03(I, J)Boat and Recreational Vehicle ParkingBoats, boat trailers, and recreational vehicles,owned and used by the resident shall be parked insuch a way to meet the single family front andsecondary front yard setback. They may be parkedin the front only for a (24) hour period for loadingand unloading purposes.Section 10.01.06Home OccupationsA home occupation may be allowed as an accessoryuse in a bona fide dwelling unit or accessorybuilding on the same lot as the main building, subjectto certain requirements. A zoning approval andoccupational license must be obtained for allhome occupations. Garage sales do not requirea permit or license, however, cannot be utilized asa continuous business.Section 21-56Burning of Solid WasteBurning of solid waste is prohibited excluding theapplicable governmental permits have beenobtained. Contact the State Division of Forestryat (352) 754-6777, option 4.Section 3.04.00Occupying RV’sRV’s cannot be occupied except in a designated RVPark or campground.Section 14-55Overgrown PropertyIt shall not be permitted for any improved lot, less thanone acre in size, to contain nuisance weeds or grasswhich exceeds 10 inches in height.Section 3.06.03(B)Regulations for ParkingIt shall not be permitted for any vehicle, which exceeds aGVWR of 12,000 lbs. to be parked, stored or kept on anypublic street, avenue, alley, or Right of Way. Emergencyvehicles are exempt.Section 21-57Garbage ContainersResidents shall procure steel, plastic or galvanizedcontainers with close fitting covers, including water proofplastic bags of heavy mill construction. Containers shallbe removed within 12 hours and not placed outside morethan 12 hours prior to collection.Section 14.14.03 (A)Building and Sign PermitsThe erection, alteration, or reconstruction of any building,shed or structure, including signs, shall not becommenced without a Building Permit. Posting of the proper numbersaccording to recommendations of the CommunicationSystem Division is the responsibility of the owner.Section 21-55Trash and DebrisNo person within the County shall allow their Propertyto become filled with materials, garbage, or rubbishof any kind.Section 14.05.00Conditional UsesConditional Use permits provide for uses that aregenerally compatible with characteristics of a zoningdistrict, but require individual review of appropriatenessof the use in the district.Section 14.14.03 (A)Building and Sign PermitsThe erection, alteration, or reconstruction of anybuilding, shed or structure, including signs, shall notbe commenced without a Building Permit. Signsshall be not be placed in the Right-of-Way.Section 6-21Standard Housing CodeLake County shall regulate building construction andmaintenance through the enforcement of the FloridaBuilding Code and other codes as adopted and/oramended in this section.
