PERIODIC MAINTENANCE 2-15ENGINE IDLE SPEEDInspect initially at 1 000 km (2 months) and every 6 000km (12 months) thereafter.NOTE:Warm up the engine before adjusting the engine idle speed.• Start the engine, turn the throttle stop screw 1 and set theengine idle speed as follows. Engine idle speed: 1 300 ± 100 r/minTHROTTLE VALVE SYNCHRONIZATIONInspect initially at 1 000 km (2 months) (E-33 only) andevery 12 000 km (24 moths).Inspect the throttle valve synchronization periodically. (5-24)PAIR (AIR SUPPLY) SYSTEMInspect every 12 000 km (24 months).Inspect the PAIR (air supply) system periodically. (11-6)THROTTLE CABLE PLAYInspect initially at 1 000 km (2 months) and every 6 000km (12 months) thereafter.Adjust the throttle cable play A as follows.• Loosen the lock-nut 2 of the throttle pulling cable 1.• Turn the adjuster 3 in or out until the throttle cable play (atthe throttle grip) A is between 2.0 – 4.0 mm.• Tighten the lock-nut 2 while holding the adjuster 3. Throttle cable play A: 2.0 – 4.0 mmAfter the adjustment is completed, check that handlebarmovement does not raise the engine idle speedand that the throttle grip returns smoothly and automatically.
