Universitetet i Oslo, Norway, 24-26November 2003.RESEARCH PROJECT WORK “LÆRENDE NETTVERK”The main goal of the project is to help educators to implement the concept of digital literacy asdescribed in Knowledge Promotion (Kunnskapsløftet), which is the latest reform in primary andlower secondary education. Under Knowledge Promotion, schools are to prioritize the cultivationof basic skills in all subjects: the ability to express oneself orally, to read, to do arithmetic, toexpress oneself in writing, and the ability to use digital tools (digital literacy).Digital literacy is a fundamental skill. It must be incorporated into the syllabuses for all subjects.As a result, all teachers are responsible for enabling pupils and apprentices/trainee teachers todevelop digital literacy through their work in various subjects. One of the initiators of the projectis the Faculty of Teacher Education at Agder University College.This project resulted in the publication of a project report (publication 4)15
