Shultz, 58, rural Macy was welcomed into the arms of his heavenly father at 11:22 a.m. onTuesday, Sept. 13, <strong>2011</strong> in Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester. Born March 16, 1953 in <strong>Peru</strong>, Ind. he wasthe son of the late Eldon "George" and Mona Kotterman Shultz. On Feb. 14, 1976 at Parkview UnitedMethodist Church in <strong>Peru</strong>, he was married to his high school sweetheart, Linda Wilhelm. George was a1971 graduate of North Miami High School. He was a timber cutter all his life. George had a passion forthe outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. George loved a good joke and always had a smile and ahardy handshake for anyone he met. George and Linda liked to live on the wild side and take to the roadon their Honda Goldwing. He could fix small engines, chain saws and liked to load his own gun shells.George was a family man and truly loved every minute he spent with his grandchildren. His favoritesaying was he liked them best when they went home. George was a faithful member of the Mexico First Brethren Churchwhere he served as an usher and a past trustee. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association. In addition to hiswife, he leaves behind two children, a daughter, Lori (Wes) Norman, of Macy, and a son, Jared (Jolene) Shultz of LaFontaine;six grandchildren, Alec, Layne and Jessa Riendeau, Laython Norman and Aspen and J.D. Shultz; one sister, Linda Smith,North <strong>Web</strong>ster; two nieces, Shelly Vanover, North <strong>Web</strong>ster, and Trina (John) Slack, Florida; and one nephew, Dalton (Dawn)Griffith, Big Barbee Lake. He was preceded in death by one sister, Karen Lopez. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. onFriday, Sept. 16, <strong>2011</strong> at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Ron Laudenschlager officiating. Miller, and he preceded her in death onMarch 9, 1999. She was a member of the Denver Baptist Church. Survivors include two children, Gloria Kay Wilson and herhusband John, Macy; and Michael K. Miller and his wife Joan, Bellevue, Neb.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchilren.She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. He was born Nov. 16, 1954 in Wabash, to Richard Pries and Carlene (Elser) Bland.Ron was a 1972 Southwood High School graduate, and attended Lincoln Tech School. He married SandyJo Wrisk in Somerset, Ind. on Oct. 10, 1992. He was the owner of Pries Inc. in Wabash since 1974, andalso owned Pries Oil Company in Wabash several years. He was a Certified State Applicator ofFertilizers and Pesticides. He was an IHSAA and YMCA football referee, and also coached several youthsports teams. Ron was a member of the Church of Christ at Treaty and the Harley Owners Group(H.O.G.). He is survived by his wife, Sandy Jo Pries; father, Richard (Edna Whitton) Pries; mother,Carlene Bland; five children, Casey (Gabi) Pries, Lee Ann (David) Pefley, Jesse Pries, Kyle Pries, andDustin Pries, all of Wabash; six grandchildren, Kathryn Pefley, Dayne Pefley, Coy Pefley, and Rhett Pefley, all of Wabash,Razvan Carnu of Romania, and Zaria Pries of Wabash; two brothers, Fred (Cynthia) Pries of Winchester, Indiana, and Michael(April) Pries of Berne, Ind. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Pries, who died March 26, 2009.
