Thethiol in the sample can either be one that is generated by a reaction, such as the end product of an enzymaticreaction, or can be the cysteine content of the protein to be measured. ThioStar is used by simply diluting theThioStar reagent in dry DMSO and adding it to the thiol sample in buffer. ThioStar will work in almost any buffer.ThioStar should be stored desiccated.Sample TypesSamples should be diluted in a non-thiol containing buffer. Buffers should not contain sodium azide orKathon/Proclin type bacteriostats.
