Group projectA piece of work given to a group of students which needs co-operativework for completion. It usually takes place in e-learning environments.Intensive courseA short full time course of one to four weeks concentrating on a particulartopic. It may take place at another institution or in a summer school.Learning outcomesStatements of what a learner is expected to know, understand and/or beable to demonstrate after completion of a process of learning. Learningoutcomes are distinct from the aims of learning, in that they areconcerned with the achievements of the learner rather than the overallintentions of the teacher. Learning outcomes must be accompanied byappropriate ASSESSMENT CRITERIA which can be used to judge that theexpected learning outcomes have been achieved. Learning outcomes,together with assessment criteria, specify the minimum requirements forthe award of CREDIT, while marking is based on attainment above or belowthe minimum requirements for the award of credit.
