LKR Spring seminar 2012INVITATIONFriday to Sunday3 – 5 February 2012Clarion Hotel StockholmStockholm, SwedenAbout the speakerDecompression and Chiropractic manipulationThis seminar is designed to teach the participants how to correctdysfunctional spinal segments. It is a manipulative seminar supported byadjunctive tools which can make the delivery of the manipulative eventmore effective.It will link diagnostic procedures to manipulative and rehabilitationprocedures. The students will also learn how to use Chattanooga DTSdecompression in the treatment of chronic and failed back syndromes. Inaddition, they will also learn to manipulate under decompression as well aslooking at categorical rehabilitation procedures that will improve patientmanagement. Dr. Nelson will also teach correcting movement patterndysfunctions using the ATM2 protocols.Eight student interns will assist in demonstrations and with the hands onportions of the lecture. The participants will walk away with new skills and atreatment plan that can be instituted in their practice come Mondaymorning. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing and to bringa portable adjusting table along with them. This is an active participationseminar.Dr. Laney Nelson hails from Utahwhere he was in clinical practicefor 25 years. He was educated atWestern States ChiropracticCollege and received his CertifiedChiropractic Sport Physicianscertification from SouthernCalifornia Health ScienceUniversity and his diplomate insports from the same University. Hecurrently serves as the director ofSports and Rehabilitation at LoganCollege of Chiropractic andoversees the BioFreeze Center onCampus.Dr. Nelson teaches in LoganUniversities Masters of Sport andExercise Science Program andoversees the externships, on fieldparticipation, and the sportsperformance and enhancementaspects of the program. He iscurrently directing the strengthand conditioning programs for 4different university and collegeprograms in the St. Louis area withhis two residents and the graduateassistant assigned to the master’sdegree program. Dr. Nelson iscurrently conducting research inmanipulation with overheadthrowing athletes, chronichamstring dysfunction, spinalstability, and a concept ofmuscular sector managementand training.
