<strong>Andrea</strong> <strong>Kremer</strong> is one of the most accomplished and widely respected journalists in the industry<br />
today. Currently, she serves as a reporter for NBC Sports and correspondent for HBO’s “Real<br />
Sports With Bryant Gumbel.” Among her many accolades, including two Emmy Awards,<br />
<strong>Kremer</strong> has been called “the best TV interviewer in the business of covering the NFL” by the<br />
Los Angeles Times.<br />
<strong>Kremer</strong> is one of the faces of NBC’s Olympic coverage and will be front and center this summer<br />
as The Games head to London. <strong>Kremer</strong> will cover swimming and offer her insight and<br />
unparalleled story telling ability across all of the network’s platforms. In 2008, <strong>Kremer</strong> was<br />
lauded for her coverage of Olympic icon Michael Phelps’ dramatic pursuit of a record eight gold<br />
medals.<br />
In May of 2007, <strong>Kremer</strong> joined HBO’s Emmy-Award winning program and contributed a host of<br />
critically acclaimed profiles and features. Among the most memorable interviews she has done at<br />
HBO include compelling one-on-ones with Pete Carroll, Lane Kiffin, Barret Robbins,<br />
DeMaurice Smith, Bill Parcells, Joakim Noah and Jim and John Harbaugh. In March of 2011,<br />
she served as the correspondent for the show’s special report on college football that made<br />
national headlines and garnered industry-wide praise for its in-depth reporting.<br />
For five seasons, she was the sideline and feature reporter for the Emmy Award-winning<br />
“Sunday Night Football” on NBC. She also periodically reported on football for the network’s<br />
popular “Today” morning show. She also previously contributed to the NFL Network as a<br />
special correspondent and was one of the original columnists for NFL Magazine.<br />
<strong>Kremer</strong> is also a highly engaging public speaker and has delivered keynote addresses, hosted or<br />
emceed events for Citi, Goldman Sachs, NFL 101, the Boston Group and the Philadelphia Eagles<br />
among others. In addition, she also guest lectured on journalism at leading universities including<br />
Stanford, Boston University, Winthrop and Endicott College. A charity-minded individual,<br />
<strong>Kremer</strong> also supports several nonprofit organizations including The Brain Tumor Society, Best<br />
Buddies, Tom Coughlin’s Jay Fund, the Marvin Lewis Community Fund and Right to Play.<br />
TV Guide said <strong>Kremer</strong> is "among TV's best sports correspondents of either sex," and her work is<br />
"distinguished by her eagerness to calmly ask tough questions and her refusal to pursue the same<br />
old story."<br />
Before joining NBC, <strong>Kremer</strong> was ESPN's Los Angeles-based correspondent, providing in-depth<br />
reports for “SportsCenter,” “Sunday NFL Countdown” and “Monday Night Countdown” among<br />
other studio shows. In 2005, <strong>Kremer</strong> received a PRISM Award for her ESPN story on Dexter<br />
Manley.
<strong>Kremer</strong> has worked more than 20 Super Bowls. A versatile reporter, she has covered the NBA<br />
Finals and All-Star Game, Major League Baseball's All-Star Game and League Championship<br />
Series, college football bowl games, Stanley Cup Playoffs and Finals, NCAA Men's Basketball<br />
Tournament, U.S. Olympic basketball trials and the PGA Championship. <strong>Kremer</strong>’s forte is<br />
breaking news stories, and she has provided investigative pieces on social issues as they relate to<br />
sports, such as sexual assault and domestic violence.<br />
<strong>Kremer</strong> was cited as "Best Female" sportscaster in P.O.V. Magazine in a September 1997 poll<br />
and in 2001 was named one of the "Most Influential" moms in the country by Working Mother<br />
magazine.<br />
Prior to joining ESPN, <strong>Kremer</strong> worked at NFL Films (1984-89), where she was a<br />
producer/director and on-air reporter for the nationally syndicated show “This is the NFL."<br />
<strong>Kremer</strong> received an Emmy nomination in 1986 for writing and editing the critically acclaimed<br />
NFL Films special "Autumn Ritual." She also produced several one-hour specials including the<br />
"All-Pro Dream Team," "All the Best," and "Gift of Grab." While at NFL Films, <strong>Kremer</strong> served<br />
as a contributing reporter to the Philadelphia Eagles Pre-Game Show on WIP-AM in<br />
Philadelphia. Her first assignment at NFL Films was working on the HBO program, “INSIDE<br />
THE NFL.”<br />
Before joining NFL Films, <strong>Kremer</strong> was sports editor from 1982-84 of the Main Line Chronicle<br />
in Ardmore, Pa., the state's largest weekly newspaper. A Philadelphia native, <strong>Kremer</strong> graduated<br />
cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980. She is<br />
married with one son.
