South Windsor Public SchoolsCurriculum, Instruction, and Assessment of Learning• Revise South Windsor’s Vision for Learning with input from students,staff, and the community• Research and present formal recommendation to Board of Educationregarding full-day kindergarten• Respond to NEASC findings and anticipated high school reform initiatives• Increase high school graduation requirements to provide a rigorousand contemporary program that prepares students for postsecondaryeducation and employment• Complete the implementation of a web-based student counseling systemto improve student planning and the college application process• Design an alternative high school program• Develop and implement PK-12 curriculum aligned with the Common CoreState Standards• Develop K-12 standards-based progress reporting system• Complete the implementation of an integrated curriculum and assessmentsystem that provides meaningful performance data to students, parents,educators and state agencies• Support the effective implementation of South Windsor’s ScientificResearch-Based Intervention (SRBI) model• Establish a full-time math interventionist at each elementary school• Identify K-12 staffing needs to provide behavioral interventions• Develop and implement a learning center at South Windsor High Schoolto provide Tier II interventions
