SCP FeaturesSCP is the Zucchini line used for transport anddistribution of High Power, and is also highlyvalued in rising mains. The applications include all industrial, commercialand service sector buildings ( factories, banks, trade and business centres, hospitals, etc.)The Super Compact SCP line is available in thestandard range: from 630A to 4000A withaluminum alloy conductors and from 800Ato 5000A with copper conductors. The super-compact dimensions of the SCPenhance its resistance to short circuitstresses; in addition, they can reduce theimpedance of the circuit by controlling thevoltage drops and allow for the installationof high power electrical systems, even inextremely confined spaces.SCP is available with a wide selection of tapoffboxes that range from 63A up to 1250A,thus allowing you to locally protect and feeddifferent types of loads by housing protectivedevices such as fuses, MCCBs and motorisedswitches.SCP, as all Zucchini products, is not only incompliance with the harmonised StandardsCEI EN 60439-1 / 2 but also answersspecifically to many clients needs for moresevere conditions of use. Thus the ratedcurrent of Zucchini’s busbar trunking systemsis always referred to the average ambienttemperature of 40 °C against the 35 °Crequired by the Standard, thus providing themarkets with suitably upgraded products. The nominal range of all SCP Super-Compactbusbars is guaranteed both for horizontalinstallations (flat and edgewise) and for verticalinstallations without downgrading.SCP busbar trunking systems are designed sothat they can be maintenance-free, exceptfor the periodic and compulsory inspectionsrequired by the Standard IEC 60364.The tightening torque inspection of the junctioncan be carried out by qualified personnel, evenwhen the busbar is energized.8 SUPER COMPACT

General structural featuresThe outer casing of the SCP line consists of fourC-ribbed section bars, bordered and riveted(thickness 1.5mm), with excellent mechanical, electric and heat loss efficiency. The sheetmetal is made of hot galvanizedsteel, treated according to UNI EN10327 andpainted with RAL7035 resins with a highresistance to chemical agents. The standard degree of protection is IP55; also, with certain accessories (see pag. 45), it can alsobe installed outdoors. The busbar conductors have a rectangular crosssectionwith rounded corners; there are twoversions:- Electrolytic copper ETP 99.9 UNI EN13601- Aluminum alloy treated over the entire surfacewith 5 galvanic processes(copper plating + tin plating)The insulation between bars is ensured by adouble sheath made with polyester film(total thickness 0.4 mm) class B, class F (155 °C)thermal resistance available on request. All plastic components have a V1 self-extinguishingdegree (as per UL94); they are fire retardant andcomply with the glow-wire test according tostandards. The SCP line is Halogen Free.In order to facilitate storage operations especiallyto reduce the installation time, the straightelements, trunking components as well as all thecomponents of the SCP Super Compact line aresupplied with a monobloc pre-installed at thefactory. The junction contact is ensured by two silverplatedcopper plates for each phase, insulatedwith red class F thermosetting plastic material. The monobloc has shearhead bolts: aftertightening the nuts with a standard wrench, theouter head will break at the correct torque value, hence giving you the certainty that the connectionhas been made properly so as to guarantee safetyand maximum performance over time. Finally, in order to completely verify the insulationlevel, every element with a monobloc undergoesan insulation test (phase-phase, phase-PE) at thefactory with a test voltage of 5000 V.Standard versions:SCP line with 4 conductors3L+N+PE, 3L+PEN, 3L+FE+PENote: For dimension H, see technical data sectionPE: Protection EarthFE: Functional Earth (Clean Earth)130N L1 L2 L3 PEsingle barSCP5 line with 5 conductors3L+N+FE+PENote: For dimension H, see technical data sectionPE: Protection EarthFE: Functional Earth (Clean Earth)140FE N L1 L2 L3 PEsingle barHSCP2N 200% neutral line3L+2N+PENote: For dimension H, see technical data sectionPE: Protection EarthFE: Functional Earth (Clean Earth)140HHdouble bardouble bar2N L1 L2 L3single barPEdouble barSpecial versions on request10 SUPER COMPACT

HR FeaturesHR is the Zucchini line used for transport anddistribution of High Power. The applications include all industrial, commercialand service sector buildings. The HR line is available: from 1000A to 4500Awith aluminium alloy conductors and up to5000A with copper conductors.HR, as all Zucchini products, is not only incompliance with the harmonised StandardsCEI EN 60439-1 / 2 but it also goes beyondthe required regulations: the rated current ofZucchini’s busbar trunking systems is alwaysreferred to the average ambient temperatureof 40 °C against the 35 °C required by theStandard, thus providing the markets with suitablyupgraded products. The outer casing of the HR line is built withfour rib-shaped C-type section metal structuralcomponents (thickness 2.0 mm), made with hotgalvanized steel with processes in compliancewith UNI EN 10327. The casing of the line hasventilation holes which, along with the shape ofthe conductors, facilitate the air circulation insidethe duct as well as the heat loss generated by theJoule effect. The standard degree of protection isIP30, (IP31 on request). The busbar conductors have a rectangularcross-section with rounded corners; there are twoversions:- Electrolytic copper ETP 99.9 UNI EN13601- Aluminium alloy treated over the wholesurface with 5 galvanic processes(copper plating + tin plating)The insulation of the busbars is ensured by aplastic, insulating, non-desiccant double-tapewith high di-electric strength and through anextended clearance. The busbar conductors are supported by plasticinsulators reinforced with 20% glass fibre, withclass B thermal resistance (130°C).All plastic components have a V1 self-extinguishingdegree (as per UL94) and comply with the glow-wiretest according to EN 60695-2-1 (CEI 50.11).The junction contact is ensured by a monoblocwith two silver-plated copper plates for eachphase, insulated with class F thermosettingplastic material. Finally, in order to completely verify the insulationlevel, every element undergoes an insulation test(phase-phase, phase-PE) with a test voltage of5000V.62 HIGH RATING

Determination of the operatingcurrent of a busbarIn order to determine the current whereby it is necessary to choose the busbar, the following planning data must be known: of loads which are to be fed by the busbar; VOLTAGE DROPdefinedI bVnLv%kI b=[A] mediumb =2b =1I b=15 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 55 601.15 1.12 1.08 1.05 1.025 1 0.975 0.95 0.93 0.89I nt≥ I bI nt= k 1 nWhen using a three-phase power supply, the operating current is determined bythe following formula:where:I boperating current [A]; load diversity factor [.]; load use factor [.];d feed factor [.];P TOTsum of the total active power of installed loads [W];Ue operating voltage [V];cos mediumaverage load power factor [.];The “d” input factor has a value of 1 when the busbar is fed from one end only. The value is 1/2 if fed from the centre or if it is fed from each end.Once the operating current has been determined, choose the busbar with a ratedcurrent immediately higher than the one calculated. All Zucchini products have been designed and tested for an average roomtemperature of 40°C; should they be installed in rooms with average dailytemperatures different from 40 °C the rated current of the busbar should bemultiplied by a k1 factor that is greater than the unit for temperatures lower than40°C and lower than the unit if the room temperature is higher than 40°C.Roomtemperature [°C]k 1thermal correctionfactor [.]Finally, the following should be considered for the most appropriate busbar choice:where I ntrepresents the maximum current loaded by a busbar for an indefinitetime at the specified room temperature.CHOICE OF THE RATING WHEN IN THE PRESENCE OF HARMONICSWhen in the presence of harmonics, and when using the chosen I ntrated current, theHP busbar to be used shall have the rating specified in the following table:rated current 630A 800A 1000A 1250A 1600A 2000A 2500A 3200A 4000A 5000AHP busbar to be used:THD ≤ 15% 630A 800A 1000A 1250A 1600A 2000A 2500A 3200A 4000A 5000A15% < THD ≤ 33% 800A 1000A 1250A 1600A 2000A 2500A 3200A 4000A 5000A -THD > 33% 1000A 1250A 1600A 2000A 2500A 3200A 4000A 5000A - -If the length of the line is particularly long (>100m) it is necessary to check thevoltage drop (hereinafter specified as v.d.). If the installation is a three phasesystem and the power factor is not lower than cos = 0.7 the v.d. may be calculatedwith the coefficients of the voltage drop specified in the technical data table. bVn 100= the current that supplies the busbar [A]= the voltage power supply of the busbar [V]= the length of the busbar [m]= the voltage drop percentageb = the distribution factor of the current [.]= corresponding voltage drop factora cos [ V/m/A] (see technical data table)The current distribution factor “b” depends on how the circuit is fed and on thedistribution of the electric loads along the busbar:supplies at one end and loadat the end of the linesupplies at one end and withload evenly distributedb =0.5 supplies at both ends and withload evenly distributedb =0.5 central supply with loadsat both endsb =0.25 central supply with loaddistributed evenlyexample : SCP 2000A Al for riser mains feed1600A operating currentb=1 supply from one endk=28.7 see technical data table,p. 52 (SCP 2000A Al cos = 0.85)L= 100m line lengthVn= 400V operating voltageI bLI bI bLI bLI bI b2 L -6 400I bI b2 100= 1.15%SHORT-CIRCUIT CURRENTThe short circuit current value I CW that can be supported by our busbar trunking systemsallows for both electrodynamic stress and thermal energy dissipated during the fault. The busbars must be able to sustain the short circuit current for the entire durationof the fault - i.e. for the time required for the protective device (circ. breacker) to startoperating, cutting off the metal continuity and extinguishing the electric arc.JOULE EFFECT LOSSESLosses due to the Joule effect are essentially caused by the electrical resistanceof the busbar. Lost energy is transformed into heat and contributes to theheating of the conduit.Three-phase rating t b2 -3 [W/m]Single phase rating t b2 -3 [W/m]94 HIGH RATING
