Sweeping lights sit above new front and rear bumpers, guiding the eye alongits flanks, across flared wheel arches and rear spoiler on the 1.6 petrol and 1.5 diesel variants, which addsa sporty look. The roof slopes gently toward the rear presenting a silhouette that echoes the spaciousness inside.

Adjustable headrests frontand rear, hooks for your shopping, wide side bins that are designed for use and not just decoration, there is even a holderfor your sunglasses. Everything is at your fingertips, including steering wheel mounted audio controls, while your fingertipshave a leather steering wheel and gearshift to rest on (1.6 model only). The Getz not only accommodates people ofall shapes and sizes, the versatile reclining and double folding rear seats enable you to accommodate luggage of allshapes and sizes as well.

7Safety comes standardSafety featuresThere are many active and passive safety systems on the Getz to keep you out of harm’s way. Optimised crumple zones,reinforced bulkheads and side impact bars are there to carry force around and away from the passengers, giving this car a 4star frontal and side impact rating (2004 EURO NCAP safety testing).There are a total of four airbags including driver and front passenger front and side airbags on all variants, adding anenvironment of protection. The front seatbelts have pretensioners and load limiters to keep the passenger in the optimumposition in the event of a frontal accident.Of course there are several crucial technologies available to you to help you pre-empt and avoid problems arising.Front and rear disc brakes plus Anti-skid Braking (ABS) are standard, which help prevent the wheels locking up under extremebraking and greatly improves driver control during an emergency braking situation. The Getz is also supplied with a furtherbraking technology called Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD). This maximises braking efficiency by taking intoconsideration the weight and location of passengers and luggage.
