GeneralLED street lightingStreetLEDStreetLED is street lighting equipped with highly efficient LEDs andan optimised lens for targeted lighting. Light pollution is avoided andthe light is projected precisely where light needs to be. As a result ofthe energy and temperature management, the lowest possible powerconsumption is achieved with maximum efficiency and a long service life.Properties• Very low current consumption• Low CO2 emissions• Long service life of bulbs• Efficient heat management with ideal heat dissipation• Powder-coated cast aluminium housing• Excellent value for money (short amortisation time)Automotive approachThe StreetLED has been developed and produced on the basis ofexpertise and experience gained from one of the most demandingmarkets - LED technology for the automotive industry. From this, key elements have been derived such as weathering conditions andproduction standards.Light-emitting diodes (LEDs)Only high-quality LEDs are used for StreetLED that offer an idealconfiguration of efficiency, colour quality, luminance, life expectancyand no mercury or lead content (RoHS-compliant). In order to achievethe ideal balance between natural colour distribution (true colourreproduction) and the human eye at night, a colour temperature of 4,200K was chosen.LensAlongside the electronic drivers and the LEDs themselves, the lens is themost important part of the system. It is responsible for the StreetLED'sextraordinarily high luminance and ensures the controlled direction of theindividual rays of light to produce optimum coverage of the area beingilluminated.Light distributionThe best possible light uniformity (asymmetrical light distribution) leadsto less light pollution and glare. In combination with the "full cut-off"characteristics, light pollution is reduced to around zero, preserving thenight sky and allowing residents to sleep more soundly thus increasingtheir quality of life.2 GIFAS ELECTRIC GmbH · Borsigstrasse 9 · 41469 Neuss · GERMANY

GeneralGRAH LIGHTING ®SG Automotive d.o.o.SG Automotive d.o.o. has 15 years of experience and expertise in thedevelopment of sophisticated lighting products and is regarded as oneof the pioneers in the use of LED technology for automotive lighting.GIFAS is now picking up on this expertise in order to offer smart andtechnically highly efficient products for its street lighting range.Areas of applicationAreas of application for StreetLED include streets and crossroads as wellas pedestrian areas, parks, pavements and cycle lanes, parking spacesand industrial zones. A solid and universal mounting flange (for polediameters of 60 and 76 mm) guarantees minimum effort for replacementsolutions.ElectronicsThe PCBs integrated into the StreetLED are specially designed andequipped with individual drivers (100 - 250 V) in order to be able torespond independently to fluctuations in voltage (brightness control). The pulse width modulation (PWM) technology used ensures anoptimum state for the operation of the LED lights while at the same timesignificantly reducing CO 2emissions.Heat managementEfficient cooling is essential for the LEDs' long service life and ultimatelyaffects the entire lighting system. In order to achieve this in the long termfor the StreetLED, extensive tests and trials have been carried out whichhave ultimately led to the patented AEROLITE cooling system.HousingAs well as a modern housing design, objectives such as resistance toextreme weathering, support for key functions and protection of the vitalparts of the light also need to be satisfied. StreetLED is the epitome of thesolution: fully sealed, no openings, cooling fins or ventilators. An ultralightaluminium alloy with a multi-layer surface finish is used.Multi-function optionsStreetLED is street lighting for the high-tech sector with additionaloutstanding added value. Other options (light management via onlinenetwork, WiFi wireless Internet connection, security cameras, othersecurity applications, video surveillance, remote control, speed sensors, light sensors, emergency switches, etc.) are also characteristics offeredby StreetLED.Telephone +49 2137 105-0 · Fax +49 2137 105-230 · verkauf@gifas.de · www.gifas.de33
