TASK FORCEMENSCHENHANDELÖSTERREICHDie österreichische Task Forcezur Bekämpfung des MenschenhandelsMit Ministerratsbeschluss vom November 2004 wurde in Österreich die Task ForceMenschenhandel (TF-MH) unter der Leitung des Bundesministeriums für europäischeund internationale Angelegenheiten (BMeiA) eingerichtet, um die österreichischenMaßnahmen gegen dieses Verbrechen zu koordinieren und zu intensivieren.In der TF-MH arbeiten VertreterInnen aller sachlich zuständigen Ministerien, inklusiveausgelagerter Dienststellen, der Bundesländer und Nichtregierungsorganisationeneng zusammen. Sektionsleiterin Botschafterin MMag. Dr. Elisabeth Tichy-Fisslbergerwurde am 10. März 2009 zur Ersten Österreichischen Nationalen Koordinatorin zurBekämpfung des Menschenhandels und zur Vorsitzenden der Task Force Menschenhandelernannt. Eine Hauptaufgabe der TF-MH ist, die österreichischen nationalenAktionspläne zur Bekämpfung des Menschenhandels auszuarbeiten, zu implementierenund deren Umsetzung zu überwachen.The Austrian Task Forceon Combating Human TraffickingThe Task Force on Combating Human Trafficking (TF-HT) was set up by a decisionof the Austrian government in November 2004. It is headed by the Federal Ministryfor European and International Affairs (FMEIA) and charged with coordinating andintensifying the measures taken by Austria in combating this crime. Representativesof all competent ministries, including outsourced agencies, the federal provincesand non-governmental organisations cooperate closely within the Task Force onCombating Human Trafficking. On 10 March 2009, Director-General AmbassadorDr. Elisabeth Tichy-Fisslberger was appointed First Austrian National Coordinatoron Combating Human Trafficking and chairperson of the Task Force on CombatingHuman Trafficking. One of the TF-HT’s main tasks is to prepare and implementthe Austrian national action plans against human trafficking and to monitor theirimplementation.


ProgrammeThe EU-Anti-Trafficking-Day:The EU Member States are called upon to carry out publicevents at the national level on the occasion of the“EU-Anti-Trafficking-Day”.
