It is constructed entirely of stainlesssteel. Even contains a Stainless steel outer housing.It has a built in level indicator and pre-drilled feet.KEY FEATURES• Rain enters gauge through an eight inchorifice, protected by distortion preventingaluminum ring• Collected water passes through debrisfilteringscreen and is funneled into one oftwo tipping buckets inside the gauge. SDI-12Master mode• When a given amount of water collects,bucket tips (amount determined bycalibration).• Tipping causes magnet to pass overproximity switch, closing it momentarily.• Second bucket positions under funnel forfilling.• After rain is measured, it exits through draintubes with screen covered holes in the baseof the gauge.
