Cast and Crew BiographiesTORI ALLEN (Gracie) is an eighth grade homeschoolerthrough Paideia. She has been in numerousplays through school, the Crighton, and CYT. Herfavorites have been Pocahontas, Suessical Jr., andJoseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.Outside of theater she loves to ride horses, paint,watch movies, and participate in 4-H activities. Shewould like to thank her mother for all of her help ingetting her here!TYLER ALLEN (Trumpet) is going to be a sophomoreat Montgomery High School. He has beenplaying trumpet for 4 years and is in the marchingband. Tyler also enjoys 4-H, FFA, reading, taekwondo,and playing XBOX 360.MIKE ANDERSON (Prof. Harold Hill) is honoredto be coming back for his third debut at <strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong>.Mike was last seen in Harvey. He studied at NorthCarolina School of Performing Arts and received hisbachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance and <strong>The</strong>atreArts. Mike originally from North Carolina but gotto Texas as soon as he could. You normally will seeMike taking on comedic roles, and musical roles so,this one in particular is enjoyed by Mike just for thesheer challenge of the demanding role Harold Hillbecomes. Mike is no stranger to the theatre thoughwith credits like Forever Plaid (Jinx), Oklahoma!(Curly), <strong>The</strong> Full Monty (Jerry), and <strong>The</strong> Producers(Leo). Mike also has directed several shows ona main stage like My Way and Over the River andThrough the Woods and was the musical director forSmoke on the Mountain and Chicago! Recently Mikewas the Tech Director and <strong>Music</strong> Director for SanAngelo Broadway Academy where he worked anddesigned/built sets for such shows as Beauty and theBeast, Narnia, High School <strong>Music</strong>al and many othershows. Mike owns his own business “Jack Met Jill”where he works as a Dating Consultant specializingin communications. He enjoys his job very muchand loves to see how he can help change people’slives simply by offering advice and techniques...it’samazing! Also enjoys contract work with QVC, andother business adventures. Mike is proud of his twodaughters Chelsea, and Katelyn who share the samepassion in theatre often.DARRELL BASON (Olin) has been singing sincehe was in elementary school. He started in actingroles in high school: Bye Bye Birdie, Guys and Dolls,and also performed in <strong>The</strong> Nutcracker. Darrell is amember of the Statesmen Chorus since 2008 andsings in a Barbershop Quartet named <strong>The</strong> Boys ofSpring.RAYNE BROWN (Chorus) has an ongoing love fortheatre and has been a part of it for nearly 7 years.She has been in many productions with <strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong>,Bravo Company, and Missoula such as Annie, DooWop Wed Widing Hood , Mrs. Bob Cratchit’s WildChristmas Binge, <strong>The</strong> Frog Prince and several others.SHELBY CLEVELAND (Mrs. Squires) This isShelby’s first show at Crighton <strong>The</strong>atre and with<strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong>. After moving from DFW to the Conroearea in August ‘10, Shelby felt a need to do somethingwith the community, and Crighton <strong>The</strong>atreseemed like the perfect place to do that. In DFW,she acted in plays such as James and the GiantPeach, Charlotte’s Web, and <strong>The</strong> Hobbit. She thanksher family and friends for support and love.PEYTON CRENSHAW (Amaryllis) is a home educatedstudent. Peyton has performed in numerousmusicals including Annie Jr., Aladdin, Seusical Jr.,Cinderella, <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Man</strong>, Sound of <strong>Music</strong> and WillyWonka Jr. Peyton was seen last summer in <strong>Stage</strong><strong>Right</strong>’s musical Annie as July. She enjoys piano,horseback riding, volleyball, sewing, singing, actingand dancing. Peyton is very excited for the opportunityto play Amaryllis in <strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong>’s productionof <strong>The</strong> <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Man</strong>. She would like to dedicate herperformance to her dad, who is currently serving inAfghanistan with USMC. “Phillipians 4:13- I can doeverything through Christ who strengthens me”.DAVID FISHTER (Charlie Cowell) lives in <strong>The</strong>Woodlands, Texas with his two young sons and wife.David enjoys rock climbing, backpacking and camping.He participated in the California ConservationCore, built portions of the John Muir Trail, repairedsalmon habitats in Northern California and served asa leader for troubled inner city youth. Despite threeopen heart surgeries before age 14, he was able toclimb California’s highest peak, Mt. Whitney, inone day. David is currently a senior at Sam HoustonState University majoring in English with a minor increative writing and spends time watching two livelychildren at home when his wife is at work.FRED W. FLORES (Chorus) hails from San Antoniowhere he was an associate professor at St.Philip’s College and coordinator of the InternshipProgram. This is Fred’s first time at the Crighton.In San Antonio, he appeared in Annie Get Your Gun,My Fair Lady, <strong>The</strong> <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Man</strong> and <strong>The</strong> SunshineBoys. His love of traveling is directly connected tothe three reasons he enjoys teaching: June, July andAugust.KELSEY FORE (Chorus) is always thrilled to appearon the Crighton stage. She has been involved withthe Crighton Kidz for several years and with STAGERIGHT for two years. She has performed on-stageat the Crighton and Owen <strong>The</strong>atres. She is activelyinvolved with the mime team at her church. <strong>Man</strong>ythanks to her family and friends for their support.MACKENZIE GOODE (Tommy Djilis) first gotinterested in the theatre in 2005. He was trained


in acting in the Crighton Kidz and later acting anddance at <strong>The</strong> Humphreys School of musical theatre.He is also trained in ballroom dance from the ArthurMurray dance studios in <strong>The</strong> Woodlands. Rolesinclude Ho-Jon (M*A*S*H), Tiny Tim (Mrs. BobCratchit’s Wild Christmas Binge), Wacky the Puppet(Annie), Ben Whitledge (No Time For Sergeants).Outside of theatre he is a Computer Science Majortransferring to UTSA.ALAINA HALEY (Chorus) is a 14 year old whohas a passion for theater. She has been involved intheater since kindergarten and has enjoyed it since.She would like to thank her family and friends plusMs. Nolan for giving her this opportunity.LEONA HOEGSBERG (Maude) is pleased to finallywork with <strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong> <strong>The</strong>atre in this greatshow and be on stage with some special friends. Shehas done many shows in Houston since she movedhere 6 years ago from California. Some of her favoriteroles include Mae Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie,Yente in Fiddler on the Roof, Rose in God’s Favoriteand Edith Frank in Diary of Anne Frank. In the restof her life, she is a library specialist and storyteller.Thanks for coming to River City. Enjoy the showand God bless!JENNY HOOFNAGLE (Marian) is happy to bereturning to the stage at <strong>The</strong> Crighton <strong>The</strong>ater thissummer and thrilled to be working with <strong>Man</strong>nyCafeo again. Jenny began acting in 1995 as the understudyfor July in <strong>Man</strong>ny’s production of Annieat Playhouse 1960. Jenny is an alumnus of NewYork University’s Tisch School of the Arts, whereshe majored in Drama. At NYU Jenny studied at<strong>The</strong> Lee Strasberg <strong>The</strong>ater and Film Institute andPlaywrights Horizons <strong>The</strong>ater School. Jenny hasperformed in countless productions in Houston andNew York City. Some favorite roles include KathySeldon in Singing in the Rain, Erma in AnythingGoes, Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet and Eponinein Les Miserables. Jenny would like to thank herfamily for their unconditional love and support and<strong>Man</strong>ny and Tina Cafeo for always believing in her.KATIE KELLY (Alma) After having several variedand interesting careers, I finally did somethingthat surprised everyone who knew me and surprisedeven me by getting a part in this wonderful show.Thanks, <strong>Man</strong>ny.PETER P. KELLY, III (Chorus) This is my firstplay. While living on Long Island and working as a policeofficer, I enjoyed Broadway and community theateralike, but never thought that I would be in a play- especially a musical! It has been as EXPERIENCE!JENNA KIRK (Chorus) This is Jenna’s debut onthe Crighton <strong>Stage</strong>. She has been active in productionsat her school since age 4. Her favorite activitiesare reading, swimming, music, and taking care ofher many pets. Jenna is thrilled to be participating in<strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong>’s production of <strong>The</strong> <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Man</strong>, alongwith her parents.CRYS MCCLURE (Chorus) is a Texas Native,who has gotten to live in different parts of the worldsuch as Singapore. Some of her favorite roles includeplaying Geneva in Dearly Beloved and Allisonin Men are Dogs. She has also just completedthis summer the shooting of her first film BakersMound.MATT MEALEY (Jacey Squires) is originallyfrom Southern California but eventually found hisway to Texas after stops in Italy, Korea, Utah, andPennsylvania. An Accountant/Auditor by trade,Matt has been singing all his life; first with his Dadand brothers as a kid and later with his five sons.He finally joined the Barbershop Harmony Societyin 2005 and rediscovered his second love – barbershopsinging. He is active in the Spring StatesmenChorus has been in a quartet or two. He joined theBoyz of Spring quartet in early 2010 as lead, hasnever looked back and he’s been singing ever since.HALEY MIERS (Chorus) is a 5 year old homeschoolerthrough Paideia. This is her first experiencein community theater and she is happy to besharing the stage with her older sister (Gracie) andher mom (Ethel). Haley likes to dance, sing, andplay softball.KATHY MIERS (Ethel) is excited to have anamed part for the first time! She has been in thechorus for South Pacific, Evita, Camelot, It’s AWonderful Life, Annie, and Oliver! By day she isa counselor with her own practice, a wife, and amother of four. She also likes to dance and is involvedin her children’s theater and 4-H. Three ofher children are involved in the show!GINY MENDEZ (Marian) holds a Bachelor of<strong>Music</strong> from Sam Houston State University and is acertified <strong>Music</strong> <strong>The</strong>rapist. As a singer, Ms. Mendezperforms in a variety of genres, including recitals,opera, and choral music. She is a frequent performerin the music theatre community with recent appearanceswith the Woodlands Repertory <strong>The</strong>atre.Her last role on the Crighton stage was in <strong>The</strong> Diaryof Anne Frank and Lend Me a Tenor.IAN MONTEZ (Winthrop) Ian is excited to be inhis second show with STAGE RIGHT. He was lastseen as Jackie in Cheaper By <strong>The</strong> Dozen and playedWise Prince Jason in Doo Wop Wed Widing Hoodwith <strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong>’s Children’s <strong>The</strong>atre, BRAVOCOMPANY. Ian loves performing and aspires tobe a professional actor some day!MELODY MONTEZ (Mrs. Paroo) This is Melody’s4th production with <strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong>. She waslast seen in Christmas Belles as Rhonda Lynn. Shehas been acting for 25 years and loves performingat the Crighton! She is especially proud to be ableto perform onstage with her sons Ian and Robben!Melody would like to thank her husband for all ofhis support and looks forward to more shows with<strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong> and her kids.ROBBEN MONTEZ (Chorus) is making his


her therapy dog Harley. She thanks her guys; Steve,Michael and Harley for their love and an occasionalsloppy kiss.STEVEN WONG (Chorus) started in theatre 38years ago as a drapery “consultant” and was “convinced”to return onstage. He gives his love to family– Carolyn, Michael, and Harley.HAROLD E. WOOD, JR. (Mayor Shinn) is excitedto be back on the stage at the historic Crighton<strong>The</strong>ater with <strong>Stage</strong> <strong>Right</strong> Productions. His lastperformance at the Crighton was last summer’s Anniewhen he played Daddy Warbucks. He was mostrecently onstage as Bob Wallace in White Christmasat Playhouse 1960. He has performed with the internationallyacclaimed Gilbert & Sullivan Society ofHouston for many summers. Other credits includeLend Me A Tenor (Tito), Scrooge! (Bob Cratchit),Pirates of Penzance (Samuel) and Nell of the Ozarks(Rotten Reginald). When not on the stage, Woody’sreal life gig is being a civil/structural designer in theoil & gas field.StaffMANNY CAFEO (Director) is a seasoned actor andsinger as well as a superb director. Other directorialachievements include Beauty and the Beast, Annie,Jekyll & Hyde, Les Miserables, Sound of <strong>Music</strong>, AChorus Line, Gypsy, Mame, 42nd Street, and Chicagoto mention a few. <strong>Man</strong>ny’s versatile showbusiness skills and talent were developed at Mt. SanAntonio Junior College, California State Universityat Fullerton, and <strong>The</strong>atre of Arts, Hollywood,California. At the same time, to gain experience andhone skills and talent, <strong>Man</strong>ny performed in SummerStock & Touring Companies. <strong>Man</strong>ny also has performedStand-up Comedy the College Circuits. <strong>The</strong>following list of acting accomplishments representsa small sampling of <strong>Man</strong>ny’s theatre experience:<strong>Man</strong>ny appeared in productions of Guys and Dolls(Nathan Detroit), <strong>The</strong> Fantastics (Matt), Fiddler onthe Roof (Tevye), <strong>Man</strong> of La <strong>Man</strong>cha (Don Quixote),King and I (Lun Tha), Rumors (Lenny), Second TimeAround (Michael Curtis), and <strong>The</strong> Glass Menagerie(Tom). In the past, <strong>Man</strong>ny has served on the Boardof Directors for Star Makers of the Northwest, StarsIncorporated, and Playhouse 1960. <strong>Man</strong>ny and hiswife Tina reside in Spring, Texas.JILLIAN NOLAN (Assistant Director) is a professionaldirector and actor. Most recent shows include:Mixed Feelings, Murder on the Nile, Cheaper by theDozen, Vaudeville (Finally) Comes to the Crighton,Time Square Angel, Southern Hospitality, Line, andmore. She is also involved in the Houston Film Industryin a directing and casting capacity. She thanksGod everyday for her talent and passion.CALEB ACKERMAN (<strong>Music</strong>al Director) is returningto the Crighton having recently completedAlways…Patsy Cline. He is fulfilling his dream ofbeing musical director for <strong>The</strong> <strong>Music</strong> <strong>Man</strong>.REENA ALVIS (Costumer Lead) majored in stagemanagement in college. When she is not workingbehind the stage she owns a real estate business.NICK BARFIELD (Sound Engineer) currently residesright up the road, in Montgomery. He worksa full time job as an electrical estimator and has decideto return back to school at night after 10 yearsfor his electrical engineering degree. He has beeninvolved with the theater for the last three years.JAMES BINGHAM (Technical Director) hasbeen the Executive Director of <strong>The</strong> Crighton <strong>The</strong>atreFoundation for the past 21 years. Jim has been involvedwith theatre for over 35 years in shows rangingfrom Aida to 1776. Welcome to the Crighton!JEANNIE BOND (Choreographer) was the previousowner/director of Dance Dreams PerformingArts Studio. She starting dancing at the age of 3and started student teaching at 13. She has studieddance for 35 years and worked with artists such asBlair Farrington (Cats), Lynda Gatche (Radio CityRockettes), <strong>Man</strong>dy Moore, and numerous others.DEBORAH BLAKE (Costume Designer) is adirector and professional costumer. She was theYouth <strong>Stage</strong> VP at ACE <strong>The</strong>atre.SUSAN BURGE (Set Construction) is no strangerto theatre having stage managed at Playhouse 1960and other local theatres and worked sets, props,ushering and concessions at the Crighton. A veteranactor with television, commercial, and filmcredits under his belt, Katt is glad to announce the2010 premiere of three movies in which he appears,two of which are already released: Up and Down(Michael Spencer), Oil (Paul Watkins), and Tree ofLife (featured extra).
