Take part in this exciting and completelyredesigned, summer leadership program for teens. This is a great opportunity to gain selfconfidence,improve your leadership skills, learn how to work with children of all ages, and have funat the same time! CITs will receive weekly leadership/staff training and evaluations.CITs who participate in our 8 week Full Session program are eligible for employment for thefollowing summer based on completion and passing the requirements of the course. CITs in our8 week session will go on weekly trips with the campers and will participate in 1 overnight teambuilding field trip.NEW 2013LIT ProgramTEEN TREKAll potential CITs must apply for their position. CIT specific applications and registration formsavailable at Member Services or at www.thesay.org.Completed Grade 8 1-8 9:00am-4:00pm Watchung Reservation $160 per weekThe Leaders In Training (LIT) Program is a special opportunity for entering 9th graders to learnimportant skills required to work with children in an accredited YMCA camp setting. Participantsmeet for a week long session and are mentored by camp counselors. LIT’s assist in leadingactivities for campers and are always supervised by staff with time set aside to practice theirleadership skills. LIT training addresses concerns and situations that LIT’s may encounter in camplife, including discipline and group control, safety and awareness, being a role model, and creativeplanning. Evaluations occur at the end of each session. This trip and travel campoffers daily adventures through New York, Pennsylvania, and of course the great state of NewJersey. Some points of interest this summer are: SixFlags, Dorney Park, Sandy Hook, FunPlex, Mountain Creek Water Park, MLB Baseball Game (Mets orYankees), Surfing Lessons, Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island, Spruce Run Recreational Area, MiniatureGolf, Museum of Natural History, Bronx Zoo, Brooklyn Aquarium, Laser Tag, Medieval Times, andmuch more!
