�� OVERNIGHT INFO (New rates are in effect!): The <strong>Swiss</strong> Park has 86 full trailer hookups available<br />
during park events with power and water, on a first come first serve basis, at a daily rate of $20.00 for<br />
non-members and $15.00 for members; Non-hookup trailer rates are $15.00 for non-members and<br />
$10.00 for members; Tenters are charged $10.00 for non-members and $5.00 for members.<br />
�� SCHWINGER PRACTICE—EVERY WEDNESDAY: 6:30 p.m. Buebe and 7:00 p.m. Jr./Sr. Contact Willi Boni (253-863-<br />
3307) or Larry Holdener (253-862-6830) for information. All Schwingers MUST have a signed hold harmless release on file<br />
prior to beginning practice. A minimum of TWO practices are required to compete in a Schwingfest. Kids Kamp does not<br />
qualify as a practice.<br />
�� NOTICE: FALL SCHWINGFEST <strong>2011</strong>—In order to establish a better admission control, the SSCT Board has decided<br />
that a bracelet, in lieu of tickets, is the best method. Different colors will be issued Saturday and Sunday with<br />
a third color for the Sat/Sun combination. Anyone not wearing a bracelet will be directed to purchase one or leave<br />
the premises. As usual, children 12 years, and under, are free.<br />

June 1, <strong>2011</strong><br />
SPRING SCHWINGFEST: Saturday, June 18, <strong>2011</strong> sponsored<br />
by the SSCT. Admission is $12.00, including Dinner<br />
and Dance. Children 12 and under are free (No refunds).<br />
Gate opens at 9:30 a.m. and Schwinger registration begins at<br />
10:00 a.m., with competition beginning at 11:00 a.m. The<br />
kitchen will open at 12:00 noon and close at 3:30 p.m..<br />
Dinner of bratwurst, mashed potatoes, green beans, green<br />
salad, rolls, etc to be served between 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.<br />
Dance to begin at 7:30 p.m. to the Faver Family Orchestra.<br />
The Award Ceremony for the Schwingers will begin at 10:00<br />
p.m. The bar will open at 12:00 noon and close at 1:00 a.m.<br />
SSCT MEMBER’S SHOTGUN MEDAL SHOOT: Sunday,<br />
June 19, <strong>2011</strong>, at 10:00 a.m. sponsored by the SSCT. You must be<br />
a SSCT, or associated <strong>Swiss</strong> <strong>Club</strong> Member, to compete for a medal.<br />
There is no fee to come into the park. This year we will have medals<br />
made in Switzerland. We will also have a new Buddy Shoot in<br />
honor of Martin Holdener. In this shoot you will choose your own<br />
partner. Your partner must be of your immediate family (i.e., Father,<br />
Son, Daughter, 1st Cousin, In-law, etc.).<br />
13th KIDS SWISS KAMP: “KAMP IS FULL!” Wednesday through Sunday,<br />
July 27—31, <strong>2011</strong>. For children ages 8 to 14 inclusive. The purpose<br />
of the Kamp is to teach our young people the culture and traditions of<br />
Switzerland and learn about their ethnic heritage. Our Kamp begins<br />
Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. (Please feed your child dinner on Wednesday,<br />
July 28th). Your child will be staying overnight with us, Thursday,<br />
Friday and Saturday nights. Classes will be held all day Thursday, Friday,<br />
Saturday and Sunday morning. On Sunday at about 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon<br />
we will have a special parade and program to celebrate “SWISS IN-<br />
DEPENDENCE”. Your child will be participating and producing this celebration<br />
and we invite you to bring the whole family out for this wonderful<br />
afternoon. The SLS will have the kitchen open with hamburgers and hotdogs<br />
and other good things to eat. There will be games to play for both<br />
adults and children following the parade and program. PLEASE EN-<br />
COURAGE THE CHILDREN IN THEIR LEARNING AND BRING YOUR<br />
FAMILY FOR AN AFTERNOON FULL OF SWISS ENTERTAINMENT,<br />
FOOD AND FUN. During Kamp your child will be introduced to <strong>Swiss</strong><br />
History, theater, <strong>Swiss</strong> language, music, instruments, wood working,<br />
sports, flag throwing, handiwork, painting, <strong>Swiss</strong> games, dancing as well as<br />
baking, cooking and eating <strong>Swiss</strong> foods! Breakfast, lunch and dinner will<br />
be provided Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and breakfast and lunch will<br />
be provided on Sunday. Space for your child will be by reservation only,<br />
please complete the reservation form found on page 4 of this flyer. The<br />
maximum number of children able to participate is 60. The total cost per<br />
child will be $25.00. We will supply all of your child’s entertainment needs!<br />
We will provide an adult for every five children and a trained staff will be<br />
available to assist with medical needs. If you would like to help—please<br />

Your child will need to bring the following items only:<br />
Absolutely NO hairdryers/curling irons or AIR MATTRESSES!).<br />

The <strong>Swiss</strong> Kids Kamp will<br />
present a great stage show that will remind you of days<br />
past and there are different relay games on the front<br />
lawn for young and old to enjoy.<br />
FRIDAY, AUGUST 12, <strong>2011</strong>—SSCT GOLF TOURNA-<br />
MENT: The <strong>Tacoma</strong> <strong>Swiss</strong> Golf Tournament will be played<br />
at Sumner Meadows Golf Links. You may choose between<br />
the morning shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. or the afternoon shotgun<br />
start at Noon. The afternoon session is expected to sell<br />
out. Please register early. Your reservation will be confirmed<br />
in the order payment is received. Range balls and a boxed<br />
lunch will be provided at the course. Tournament prizes will<br />
be awarded to 7 flights, with <strong>Swiss</strong> Bells for 1st place in every<br />
flight. Putting and chipping contest at the course. Dinner is<br />
provided at the awards ceremony at the <strong>Swiss</strong> Park following<br />
the afternoon session (the bar will open at 4:00 p.m.). Each<br />
golfer will receive a golf shirt. Entry fee is inclusive of mulligans<br />
and all course contests; Morning session $90. Afternoon<br />
session $100. Sponsorships available—Gold sponsor $200,<br />

Chicken Dinner will be sold Saturday Night 6:00 p.m.—<br />
8:00 p.m. for $8.00 with mashed potatoes and corn onthe-cob.<br />
Dancing begins at 8:30 p.m. with music by The<br />
<strong>Swiss</strong> Alpiners. Schwinger Crowns and awards will be<br />

FEST & DANCE sponsored by the SSCT. Gate opens<br />
at 9:00 a.m., individual admission is $12.00. Children 12<br />
and under are free. No refunds. Enjoy breakfast of<br />
French toast, eggs, ham, juice and coffee for $5.00 per<br />
person, served by the Enzian <strong>Swiss</strong> Ladies’ Choir<br />
(ESLC) from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit the<br />
ESLC, so please show your support. An outdoor mass<br />
will begin at 11:30 a.m. Following Mass, schwingen will<br />
begin and the kitchen and bar will open. Buebe<br />
Schwinger awards will be presented at the Schwinger<br />
Platz following competition. And plan to dance through<br />
the evening!
