High quality and respect for the
environment
Our searchlights are produced in high
quality seawater resistant aluminium, ensuring
long life and a timeless design. Aluminium
is more easily and nature friendly
recycled than steel and our products
comply to RoHS directive. Norselight will
give you a ”Green Passport” along with
the product whenever needed.
Operating panel
This panel is for flush mounting and
protected IP 22. The panel is fed by 24
VDC and is approved for installation in
the wheelhouse. The control panel is DNV
approved, and the communication with the
system is based on standard LAN 10/100
Base-T. The protocol is ASCII and the
system can be connected to other control
systems through TCP/IP connections.
The panel can be connected to sub
panel(s) for controlling the main panel’s
joystick remote from the panel.
Sub panel
The sub panel is connected to the
operating panel with five wires.
The sub panel is space saving and easily
installed flush mounted.
Computer control
The searchlights can be totally controlled
from PC or interfaced with other control
systems.
Special software from Norselight is
developed for running on standard PC
operation on MS Win XP SP2.
Wireless controll
The wireless control panel is designed for
outdoor marine environment. (IP 65 )
The panel has a chargeable battery, and
the charging connection is in front of the
unit for easy connection. The communication
is standard WLAN 802.11b 11Mbps
The protocol is ASCII.

Data Rate: Up to 11 Mbps
Transmit Power: 16 dBm typical WEP
(Wired Equivalent Privacy)

Searchlight
The searchlight is controlled in three axis by
DC motors, which are pan, tilt and focus.
The motor control board with communication
interface is mounted in the junction box.
The system can be used for halogen (SH),
xenon (XS) and metal halide searchlights
(SHRI). The power supply is 110-256
VAC 50/60 Hz. The searchlight is
equipped with 24 VDC power supply.
Planning
You can connect up to nine searchights in
total on the same control system.
The searchlights supports halogen, xenon
and metal halide searchlights.
UNIqUE CONTROLSYSTEM
As easy as it can be
The Searchlight Control System (SCS)
provides the operator with a optimized
work environment. The system is BUS
operated, which makes it easy and cost
effective to install. With this unique system
you can connect up to nine searchlights to
the same control panel.
You can control the searchlight directly
from your panel, via the wireless controll
or via your PC. The searchlights and
the controlpanels are connected to a
common RS-485 network, which reduce
the installation cost, time and wiring on the
vessel.
Automatic sweep function from pc
With the new automatic sweep function it
is possible to carry out rescue operations
by using the searchlights to sweep the surface
for objects automatically. In addition,
with the computer control the security level
of the vessel can be increased by using
the automatic sweep function. The crew
can carry out other tasks, while the automatic
sweep function scans the horizon as
a preventive measure.
