DesignThe adjacent graph compares the section propertiesof Humes CMP TR and TRS profiles against traditionalcorrugated sinusoidal profiles. These graphs highlightthe high-load bearing capacity of Humes CMP,enabling maximum fill depths and/or installed factorof-safety.The effects of corrosion and/or abrasionshould be assessed with respect to product life for allcorrugated metal pipe installations. ManufactureThe cost of freight is a significantcomponent in the total installed cost of anypipeline system. The advantage of largediameter Humes CMP is that it is capableof being produced in long lengths of lowmass, relative to other pipeline products.These characteristics oppose the highcost penalties for freighting this product.Humes has a unique quick turn-around,fully mobile and self-contained plant thatcan produce Humes CMP at the actual jobsite.
