Camping RulesMONCOVE LAKE STATE PARK is located in MonroeCounty’s Sweet Springs Valley, a lush, picturesquearea of <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> that any outdoor enthusiastwill appreciate.accommodations• 48 tent and trailer sites• 25 sites with electric hookups• potable water available• dump station available• picnic tables• firerings with grill surface•central bathhouse with flush toilet facilities andhot showers• firewood available for purchase• souvenirsNearby Attractions• Greenbrier <strong>State</strong> Forest• Greenbrier River Trail• The Greenbrier Resort• Hanging Rock Hawk Tower• Historic Lewisburg• Lost World Caverns• Organ CaveCamping Information• Check-out is noon.• Two motor vehicles per site.• One camping unit and one additional tent per site.• Sites are rented on a first-come, first-served basis.• Camping is only permitted at designated sites.• Hunting is not permitted within the state park.• Campers must register and pay at check-in.• Campers should not be a nuisance or infringe onthe rights of others.• No explosive materials or dangerous substancesare allowed.• Uncased firearms, bows and arrows are prohibited.• A 10 mph speed limit or less is observed incampgrounds.• Motorbikes or ATVs are prohibited.• No bicycle riding after dark unless lighted in frontand rear.• WV state law requires bicycle riders under 15 yearsof age to wear a helmet.• Campers are responsible for any damage.• Vehicles and campers must meet state licensingrequirements.• Campers are responsible for observing all postedrules and regulations.• No alcohol.• Only dogs or cats.• Pets must be on a leash not more than 10 feetin length.• Fires allowed in designated areas only.• Fire must be attended.• Camping permits may be revoked withoutrefund for violation of campground rules.
