Welcome to our Autumn/Winter edition of<br />
the <strong>Westfund</strong> Member Magazine<br />
The purpose of the members magazine is to allow<br />
members to obtain value from their Health cover.<br />
The magazine outlines the additional benefits provided for<br />
Dental, Eyewear and other extras benefits and also<br />
reinforces some benefits that might be useful to members<br />
such as our forced retrenchment benefit.<br />
<strong>Westfund</strong> has continued to increase benefits to cover fee<br />
increases by hospitals and doctors through our contracts<br />
and agreements. These increases in benefits need to be<br />
paid for by premium increases in part which largely come<br />
through doctors and hospital increases in charges.<br />
Our premium rises over time have remained on average<br />
well below the industry rise, though this year we were<br />
a little higher mainly due to the increased and<br />
additional benefits.<br />
We are pleased to be able to increase our Eyewear Centre<br />
services to Emerald, which opened a few months ago and<br />
has proven very popular.<br />
