From the stage of goods receiptthrough to the final control check, we do everythingin order to provide our customers with only the bestquality.Figure 2:Roller chain test-standfor service-life durationtest, mediumresistancetest androller-abrasion testAll KettenWulf roller chains have improved wear resistanceand durability, achieved by the following:» High Precision and Dimensional Accuracy» Seamless Rollers» Cold Extruded Bushes» High Quality Raw MaterialsThese developments ensure a high level of productionefficiency for our customers, and in turn, a competitiveadvantage.Be impressed with the high level of innovationof our products!

|10The performance requirements of roller chains arealmost as varied as the number of applications, andselection of the correct product is determined bythe following criteria:» Wear Resistance» Fatigue Strength» Precision Length Matching» Environmental Factors and Conditions» Zero Maintenance» Corrosion Protection» Noise Reduction» Food-Safe LubricationGenerally, one chain cannot satisfy all of the criteria. This is why KettenWulf products are designedin a way to offer an optimal product for any application, giving KettenWulf’s roller chain product rangethe widest variety of properties. Therefore ourstandard program includes roller chains with themost varied properties.KettenWulf driving chainsAbbildung links oben:Unser RollenkettenVerschleißprüfstandAbbildung rechts oben:Hochfrequenzpulser,um die Dauerfestigkeitzu ermitteln

|12RCKettenWulf RC roller chainsKettenWulf RC and HS roller chainsKettenWulf Wear Resistant and Reinforced Roller ChainsKettenWulf RC “Roller Chains” are characterizedby seamless, cold extruded bushes, case hardenedpins and tightly controlled and precise productionprocesses. These factors guarantee an increasedwear resistance as well as increased precision inlength of each chain.KettenWulf RC - roller chains1. Shot-peened plates, tempered2. Seamless, case-hardened rollersfor high resistance to wear3. Seamless, cold-extruded bushes4. Wear-optimized pins, case-hardened2143A high shear strength and core strength are gainedfrom utilizing alloyed and case hardened steel pins.Additional grinding of the pins improves the surfacefinish, allowing for reduced abrasion betweenthe pin and bush.Seamless bushings, compared to bushings createdfrom steel pipe, provide a higher degree of symmetryand roundness. These attributes allow for thelength of the chain to be more exactly controlled.Additionally, the bushes are case hardened to providea harder surface to allow for increased wearresistance.Improved fatigue strength of the chain resultsfrom press fits, strict tolerances and increasedsurface strength. Press fits are achieved throughuse of precision stamped plates, ground pins andground bushes, while shot-peening of the materialincreases the surface strength of the material. Thecombination of these processes results in a chainwith greater fatigue strength.KettenWulf’s “Heavy Series” (HS) roller chains, characterized by thicker link plates and highlytempered pins and seamless bushes, are utilizedin heavy load applications due to their considerablyhigher fatigue strength.

These chains have an optimized fatiguestrength and resistance wear due to the high loadapplications the chains were designed for.1243The pins in HFS roller chains are highly alloyed, case hardened steel which give the pins greatershear strength and a longer flex fatigue life.Additionally, a high quality surface is bonded to thepins during cold drawing of the pins. Also, the pinshave a high wear resistance due to grinding of thepin surface. The seamless bush provides a more uniformlyround surface than steel pipe, which gives the finalproduct a more precise length, increased wear resistanceand minimal feed extension. The good bore quality of the link plate holes, a prerequisitefor a good press fit, gives the HFS rollerchain its extraordinary fatigue strength. Finally, a seamless and tempered roller providesand additional lever of impact and wear strength.KettenWulf HFS roller chains1. |30LFKettenWulf LF roller chainsKettenWulf LF roller chainsKettenWulf’s Lubrication Free Roller ChainsKettenWulf’s “Lubrication Free” (LF) roller chainsare characterized by a special oil impregnated sinterbush. The special impregnated bush in conjunctionwith the inchromised pin forms a highly wearresistant and long lasting chain. The lubricationis initially activated through friction and elevatedtemperatures, while a light initial lubrication is appliedduring production for protective purposes. The link plates are also coated to add to the corrosionresistance. The advantage of this technology is the lubricationbetween bush and protective roller, which is lockedin the sinter bush. The load carrying capacity of LF chain is slightlyless than standard roller chain with regular maintenance. The operational temperature range of the LFchains is -30 C to +120 C.The functional dimensions of LF chain correspondto ISO 606, however the bush diameters are slightlylarger than standard chain. Additionally, in order toguarantee the fracture load, the plate heights arealso dimensionally larger. However, these changesin dimensions do not affect the operation of themachines.KettenWulf also offers our LF chain with straightlink plates. To act as protectionfor the material conveyed, an elastomer profile of nitridebutadiene rubber is vulcanized onto the chain in varyingprofiles and heights. This nitride butadiene rubber has aShore A hardness of 75+/-5, and can be used in temperaturesfrom -40 C to 130 C. Additionally, these CP chainshave excellent gas, oil and grease repulsion, high abrasionand premature aging resistance as well as a high tearingstrength.KW C08B 520NBR75KW C08B 5700NBR75KW C08B-2 530NBR75KW C08B 520NBR75KW C12B 4680NBR75KW C12B-2 760NBR75KW C12B 4680NBR75

|66In the category of lift chains, KettenWulf also includesgall and flyer type chains. The construction of gall type chains enables the absorptionof tensile loads as well as the possible transferof tensile forces to sprockets. Due to the characteristicsof gall chain, it is suited for use as a load and transportchain at low speeds.Flyer chains are used mainly in the absorption andtransfer of forces within the system and machineconstruction. Due to the compact design and construction, flyer chains indicate a high fracture load witha small construction width but cannot transfer torque tosprockets.KettenWulf lift chains
