It’s a cute and fun littlediversion, sure to delight both kids and kids-at-heart.Lake on the Mountain offers a panoramicview of the Bay of Quinte and is THE spot to get yourpicture taken. Enjoy a picnic lunch as you enjoy the view.You can learn about one of Ontario’s natural curiosities.Lake on the Mountain is 62 metres above Lake Ontario,yet is fed by a constant flow of clean, fresh water, withno apparent source. Early settlers believed the lakewas bottomless.There are lots of winter-time activitiesto choose from! For cross-country skiiers, SandbanksProvincial Park has 11 kms of trails. Or, try snowshoeing thefrozen dunes for an uncommon view of a popular beach.Test your mettle as the mercury goes down with some icefishing. The Bay of Quinte is one of the top walleye fishingspots in the world.
