Cutting-edge technologies include: Land Rover patented Hill Descent Control (HDC®)* which assists with controlled descentsof difficult slopes by maintaining a desired speed and applying braking separately to each wheel; Gradient Release Control (GRC)*which is designed to prevent the vehicle ‘running away’ on a steep incline when the driver releases the brake; and Hill StartAssist which is designed to prevent roll back after a hill start.There is also Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). Designed to correct over and under-steer, DSC interacts with the engine andbrakes to help maintain stability. Electronic Traction Control (ETC) senses when wheel slip is occurring and uses the brakingsystem to minimise wheel spin. Roll Stability Control (RSC) detects critical levels of roll and applies braking to increase theturn radius to help reduce the likelihood of a rollover.Night-time driving is further enhanced with the optional availability of adaptive xenon headlamps. PERFORMANCEWith its lightweight and more compact footprint, Range Rover Evoque offers theenthusiast driver quicker responses and greater agility. Available on Prestige andDynamic models, Adaptive Dynamics with advanced MagneRide monitors vehiclemovements at least 1,000 times per second. It reacts to driver or road inputs to givegreater control and minimise body roll, adding to the feeling of engagement and thesense of a taut, sporting ride. The system will even sense off-road conditions,and optimise damping accordingly.Range Rover Evoque features the latest in power assisted steering technology.Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) is designed to deliver accurate, consistentsteering and agile cornering. Power assistance is speed-sensitive for lightness andresponsiveness at low speeds and increased firmness at higher speeds. eD4 DIESEL ENGINEThe 2.2 litre turbo diesel is available as an eD4 (110kW) 2WD version which shares the TD4 and SD4characteristics yet delivers CO₂ emissions of 129g/km on Range Rover Evoque Coupé and 133g/kmon Range Rover Evoque.TD4 AND SD4 TURBO DIESEL ENGINESThe latest 2.2 litre turbo diesel, available in two forms TD4 (110kW) and SD4 (140kW), delivers superb torque,responsive performance and impressive refinement. The engine provides power on demand, a very broad torquecurve and can be specified with either six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmissions. Diesel vehicleswith the manual transmission feature an intelligent Stop/Start system to reduce the fuel consumption of thisengine by up to a further eight percent. This works by automatically shutting down the engine when it is notrequired, for instance at traffic lights, then re-starts the engine as soon as the clutch is released.2.0 LITRE Si4 PETROL ENGINEThe Si4 petrol engine is a 2.0 litre all-aluminium unit with the latest direct-injection technology, advancedturbocharging and twin independent variable valve timing to help lower fuel consumption and CO₂ emissionsto 199g/km. The engine is fitted with a six-speed automatic transmission that has been engineered toimprove fuel economy and that features Drive Select, an advanced rotary gearshift with steering wheelmounted paddle controls to enhance the sporty driving experience. It also delivers a rich, powerful enginesound during acceleration.To reduce fuel consumption all engines also feature Smart Regenerative Charging, which charges the batterywhen it is most economical to do so by capturing wasted kinetic energy as the vehicle decelerates.15

INTERIORSPORTS COMMAND DRIVING POSITIONRange Rover Evoque introduces the new Sports Command Driving Position whichoffers a new take on the feeling of control and command that is an integral featureof every Land Rover vehicle. The driver sits lower, ‘in’ the vehicle, cocooned by theinterior with all important information clearly visible and all controls easy to reach.The result is a drive that is sportier than ever while retaining the legendary view ofthe road ahead and the surrounding environment.17

The finest twin-needle stitching also features on Range Rover Evoque. From its length and direction, to its colour and the excellence ofthe thread and even the size and shape of the needle: it all guarantees the highest quality finish. The luxury in Range Rover Evoque alsoextends to the rear accommodation which provides excellent passenger ergonomics and a spacious environment designed for relaxation andlong-distance comfort. LIGHTINGEven as the driver activates the remote key fob to unlock Range Rover Evoque, the vehicle stirs, illuminating puddle lampsthat project the unique ‘Range Rover’ signature graphic onto the ground*.20*Only when powerfold mirrors specified.

Range Rover Evoque can be enhanced with ambient interior LED mood lighting. This can be configured to suit personal tasteswith a choice of five colours and a variety of brightness settings. To add a real sense of occasion automatic colour changes areactivated when the driver chooses the Dynamic setting on Terrain Response®, changing the ambient lighting to red.††Only available with Adaptive Dynamics.21

INTERIOR TECHNOLOGIESDual View, voice control. Range Rover Evoque’s interior features asuite of the latest technologies to provide driver and passengerswith the most comfortable, most enjoyable experience possible.All driver displays present clear, useful information. The centrepieceof the vehicle and the hub for controls and Infotainment is the eightinch colour Touch-screen in the centre of the facia*. This provides thelatest in technology with exceptionally clear graphics. The availabilityof a dual view* functionality with the Touch-screen allows the driverand front seat passenger to watch separate images simultaneouslyon the same screen.Also available is a highly intuitive, powerful voice control system thatincludes the latest ‘Say What You See’* technology, which providesthe user with convenient visual prompts on the Touch-screen.The steering wheel houses controls for convenience features that arestandard on Range Rover Evoque. These include cruise control andprimary audio controls to maximise ease-of-use of the Infotainmentsystems and Driver Information Display.The Driver Information Display’s five inch full colour screen supplementsthe eight inch Touch-screen. TECHNOLOGYPark Assist*. This useful latest generation, advanced automated technology appears for the first time on a Range Rover.Helping the driver to parallel park in tight parking spots (as little as 1.2 times the length of the vehicle), Range Rover Evoqueuses ultrasonic sensors to steer while the driver operates the foot pedals. Real time information is also displayed on theDriver Information Display to aid the driver through each stage of the manoeuvre.The surround camera system* utilises five discreetly placed digital cameras to relay an almost 360 degree view aroundthe vehicle to the eight inch Touch-screen display on the facia. The system provides a number of driver-assist featuresand can be invaluable when manoeuvring on and off-road. The five digital cameras are housed around the exterior ofthe car – two at the front, one on either side of the vehicle and one at the rear.Tow Assist, part of the surround camera system, is a next generation reversing aid that predicts the rearward trajectoryof both vehicle and trailer. This helps the driver perform more accurate manoeuvres and is selected from the Touch-screenmenu. Wide-view cameras on the vehicle give a clear field of vision; guidelines are superimposed over the resulting imageto highlight the predicted reversing path for the vehicle and trailer.Blind spot monitoring* is also available. This system uses side-mounted radars to warn of vehicles in the driver’s blind spot.A bright amber warning icon is illuminated in the appropriate door mirror when a hazard is identified.Rear park aid*. This convenient feature is standard on Range Rover Evoque.
