The range of programmes offered is very diverse. Programmesof only a couple of weeks and several years are both included. Some of the programmes areshort courses which usually can only be taken as part of an exchange programme (in thisbrochure they are referred to as “other programmes” – however, courses of less than fiveFinnish credits are not included in the list). Degree programmes are broader-based, takeseveral years to complete and lead to a recognised qualification. In most of the programmesthe language of instruction is English.The programmes presented in this list do not cover all the options. There are many institutions,faculties and departments which offer tailor-made curricula for international students– this especially applies to doctoral level studies.
