Results of Operations, Financial Position and Net Worth: Segmental Reporting 49Segmental ReportingOur business activities comprise the “Machine Tools” and “Services” segments and, forthe first time, as of 1 January 2010 the “Energy Solutions” segment; the reclassificationwas instigated because of its growing importance and the ifrs 8 criteria. The previousyear’s figures for “Services”, to which this segment previously belonged, have beenadjusted accordingly. “Corporate Services” constitutes the group-wide holding functions.gildemeister Beteiligungen ag, as the holding company of the production plants, is alsocontrolled under the “Machine Tools” segment since the start of 2010; the previous year’sfigures have likewise been adjusted.
