Reference Manual308018EN, Edition 3BSeptember 2007Rosemount Tank Radar REX1.6 ENGINEERINGPORTThe FCU is provided with an engineering port, which allows trained personnelto login to the FCU using a computer and to monitor and log the operation ofthe various serial device drivers etc. A simple terminal emulator such asWindows Hyper Terminal can be used for this purpose. See “Changing IPAddress / FCU Name” on page 2-40.The Engineering port is RS 232, configured as follows:• Baud Rate: 9600• Parity: None• Data: 8 bits• Stop: 1 bit1.7 ETHERNET PORT The Ethernet port is used for configuration of the FCU via a PC withConfiguration Tools software (see pages 2-2 and 2-10).1.8 RESET BUTTON The FCU also has a Reset button. Pressing this button will force a full systemrestart. During this time all communications will be lost. The system willre-start automatically after several seconds.1.9 GREEN LED –RUNNING1.10 RED LED – CPUACTIVITYThe green LED indicates that the PROCESSOR MODULE is running validcode. When extinguished, the processor is either halted or stopped.The red LED is a processor control LED. Normal operation is indicated by aflashing light.Section 1. Description of FCU 2165/21751-11
